What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I want to actively involve the community in the overall development of the game. Interaction with the community can help a lot in deciding to prioritize features, work on suggestions for gameplay and so on. You're helping a lot by getting involved.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Based on the current state of development, I expect the game to leave Early Access no earlier than some time in 2027.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Currently planned for the full release are mobs, a fully featured survival experience, a more comprehensive world generator, and multiplayer. There may be other things of course depending on feedback. Going from early access to the full version 1.0 will be a fluent process, though.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Overall, I would currently describe it mostly as a creative mode game. You can run/fly around, craft, and play around with all kinds of blocks, interact with the world, but there is no survival gameplay for example.

At the moment, I am still working mostly on the technical foundations of all of the subsystems in the game, so it is still more of a techdemo than a real "playable" survival game. Most of the things that have been added are quite stable and working, but there is still some work to do before putting out a demo.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I plan on increasing the price slowly step-by-step after reaching big milestones. There may also be another price increase after the full version release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I will keep posting regularly on my IndieDB dev blog and on my YouTube channel. Your comments, suggestions, and feedback will be highly appreciated there! Some time before the early access release I will also set up a discord server.

For the more tech-savvy, I will maintain a GitHub page with all the technical documentation about modding, and a discussions page there.”

About This Game

A voxel sandbox focused on atmosphere and contrast. Explore layered worlds, face eerie nights and caves, and shape your own path through an immersive environment.

A World of Layers

Explore a world built on cubic chunks that extends far beyond the surface in all directions. From floating sky islands to deep underground realms, each layer introduces new environments, resources, and challenges. Additional systems like custom portals are planned to further expand travelling options.

Atmosphere First

The game is built around contrast: calm and cozy during the day, but tense and unsettling at night. Caves are designed to feel genuinely eerie, encouraging careful exploration rather than routine mining.

Dynamic Lighting & Sound

Advanced lighting and a growing ambient soundscape bring the world to life. Dynamic lights, shadows, and environmental audio aim to create a strong sense of place, making each area feel distinct and immersive.

Meaningful Progression

Progression is centered around tools, workstations, and materials that gradually unlock access to new layers of the world. These systems are already in place and will be expanded over time. Equipment choices, such as armor weight, are intended to support different playstyles from fast and agile to slower and more tanky.

Creative Building Freedom

Build using a flexible voxel system with a focus on more open block placement. Additional features and quality-of-life improvements are being added to expand on familiar sandbox building mechanics.

Immersive Multiplayer (Planned)

Multiplayer is planned for a later stage of development. This includes built-in proximity voice chat, with audio effects reacting dynamically to the environment, such as cave reverb or underwater muffling.

Modding-Friendly by Design

Core systems such as voxel data, crafting recipes, and items are already defined in simple JSON structures. Making these systems more accessible for players is planned, with the goal of supporting easy modification and a strong modding ecosystem.

Early Access & Ongoing Development

The game is actively in development, with core systems still evolving. Feedback will directly influence future features, content, and overall direction. Please refer to the Early Access section for more details.
