Reviews

“Very relaxing, very zen. Almost like a meditative experience. It's like a coloring book for adults.”
Idle Cub

“Masterpiece of an indie game, with an insane twist towards the end of the second hour that I would have had to been smoking straight gorilla glue to predict.”

About This Game

Feed the Forest is a short active incremental game about being a snail. At first the snail just wants to create a nice little forest. But greed gets the better of the snail and it starts mutating its forest into an abomination of value production. The game has satisfying exponential growth, hundreds of upgrades, and absurd satire of idiot trillionaires.

Spread life in the desert!

Become an unstoppable growth machine!

Upgrade your snail!

Automate and optimize!

Features

  • Over 100 upgrades (Over 1000 if you count buying the same multiple times…)

  • A wide collection of different snail skins to collect

  • Multiple resources to balance and optimize for, like Juice, Rot, Gasoline and… Blood?

  • [REDACTED] amount of different plant and helper snail types (it’s secret)

  • Bombing your forest to make it produce more

  • Rolling D20s to get golden fruits and jackpots

  • Beautiful storybook illustrations and a nice little story about the horrors of infinite growth

  • Circular financing, high-impact KPIs, and disruptive returns on capex

Is this game for you?

Feed the Forest can be completed in about 4-5 hours. Its gameplay does not involve full reset prestiging or long stretches of idle grinding. It has a light and absurd story that evolves in an unexpected direction and concludes with a satisfying ending.

Feed the Forest is for you, if you:

Want a relaxing and chill game

A chill incremental experience focused on gradual, smooth growth and progression

Want an extremely satisfying experience

Every mechanic you unlock makes the game more satisfying: Paint every corner of the desert green, merge plants into greater plants, automate fruit collection with minions, roll dice to get jackpots and fill your forest with more and more valuable plants

Enjoy light optimization challenges

Balance the composition and layout of different plants in order to create the most optimal synergies

Delight in absurd settings

A naive little snail who just wants to have an adventure and make mad stacks, but gets corrupted by a mysterious sand-worm-creature. Together they create a decadent and absurd forest of untold horrors.

Like creative, expressive gameplay

Paint the desert with a variety of colorful “plant-brushes” to create the forest that you prefer. Upgrade your reach to plant faster or tweak details with precision painting

We can only make it great with a bunch of player feedback, so please follow this page to hear about updates, or join our Discord in the sidebar to get notified!
