This helps us optimize performance for gaming scenarios and prioritize the features our community needs most.”

Approximately how long will this software be in Early Access?

“We plan to remain in Early Access for approximately 3-6 months. The timeline depends on community feedback and the completion of our optimization roadmap.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will include performance improvements such as GPU acceleration for
faster processing, additional recognition engines, expanded language support, and lower
memory usage through optimization. We also plan to add community-requested features based
on feedback. The core functionality — screen translation (OCR), real-time audio
subtitles, and voice typing — is already fully functional in Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“All core features are working: region and full-screen screen translation (OCR) for
games, manga, and documents; real-time audio subtitles; voice typing that types your
speech into any text field; customizable hotkeys; and a system tray quick-access menu.
Translation works both online (free, no API key needed) and fully offline using
built-in engines. The application supports 12 UI languages. Current focus areas:
performance optimization and translation accuracy improvements based on community feedback.”

Will this software be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price may increase slightly at full release to reflect added features and optimizations. Early Access supporters get the best price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We actively collect feedback through our Discord server. Bug reports with log files are addressed within 24-48 hours. Feature requests are tracked and prioritized based on community votes. Major updates will be announced through Steam and Discord.”

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

LingoHUD's output is strictly limited to language translation and speech-to-text
transcription of content already present on the user's screen or audio. It does not
generate creative, original, or open-ended content.

Content moderation: The translation and recognition models process only user-initiated
input that the user explicitly captures via a hotkey. The software does not produce
novel content; it converts existing content from one language to another, or from
speech and images to text. All processing is deterministic and bounded to the captured
input.
