About This Game

The Honest Little Fisher

A quiet fishing story made with care.

The Honest Little Fisher is a cozy fishing game we started building together, a father and his son, simply because we wanted to make something calm, kind, and meaningful.

We spent time fishing, talking, learning, and laughing, and slowly turned those moments into a game we truly enjoyed making. Now we want to share that feeling with you.

A Game About Curiosity and Joy

The sea is full of surprises.

There are over 1,500 things to discover — most of them real, living creatures from our oceans.

This includes:

  • Over 1,400 real saltwater fish from oceans all around the world
    with scientific names, genera, and interesting facts

  • A growing fish lexicon you unlock over time

  • Other marine life, crustaceans, and unusual finds

  • Rare, epic, and legendary discoveries

  • And a few funny and unexpected “treasures”

Every catch tells its own small story.
Many teach you something real about life in our oceans.
Some are simply a little quirky.
And legendary finds feel like discovering something truly special.

You can keep what you catch
or gently set it free again, if you like.

Grow, Upgrade, and Explore

You start small.
A modest boat.
Simple gear.

Over time, you:

  • Buy new boats

  • Upgrade engines and equipment

  • Unlock licenses to sail farther

  • Slowly explore more of the sea

There’s no pressure to rush.
Progress comes naturally, at your own pace.

This game is meant to be calm and comforting.
Something you can enjoy for a few minutes — or lose yourself in for an evening.

We built it because we enjoyed it.
Because we cared about every detail.
Because we were really there, together, making it.
