What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Ragdoll Operations is being released in Early Access because I want to finish the game together with the players, not in isolation. The core systems – shooting, movement, and physics-driven ragdoll combat – are already fun and playable, but the game still needs balancing, more content, and lots of feedback from real players.

Early Access will let me test weapon feel, difficulty, performance, and level design on many different hardware setups and playstyles. Based on community feedback, I plan to refine the combat flow, add new missions, enemies and weapons, improve AI behaviour, and polish the overall experience.

In short, Early Access gives me the opportunity to iterate quickly with the community and make sure the final version of Ragdoll Operations is as satisfying and replayable as possible.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Ragdoll Operations to remain in Early Access for approximately 6 to 12 months. This window gives enough time to expand the amount of content (missions, enemies, weapons and modes), gather feedback on balance and performance, and iterate on systems like AI, co-op and progression. The exact length may change depending on community feedback and how quickly the planned features reach the level of quality we want for a full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan for the full version of Ragdoll Operations to expand both the amount and variety of content. Our current goals include adding more missions, weapons and enemy types, as well as “end of level” boss-style encounters that make certain operations feel like real set-piece finales.

We are also planning to experiment with additional game modes, such as a horde / zombie-style mode that focuses on survival against large waves of enemies. Alongside new content, the full release is expected to feature better balancing, improved AI behaviour, more polished visuals and audio, and overall quality-of-life improvements based on feedback from Early Access players.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Ragdoll Operations already includes the core experience: physics-driven third-person shooting, the active ragdoll movement system, several handcrafted missions, multiple weapon types, and basic enemy AI with different behaviours and difficulty options. It is fully playable from start to finish as an arcade-style action game, but it is still being tuned for balance and performance and may contain bugs or rough edges.

What is mainly missing at this stage is content variety and long-term progression. Boss-style encounters, additional modes (such as horde / zombie-like variants), more maps, more enemy types, and further polish on visuals, audio, UI and co-op features are all things we plan to build together with the community during Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to offer Ragdoll Operations at a lower price during Early Access to reflect that the game is still in development and to thank early supporters. As we add more content and polish for the full release, we expect to raise the price to its normal level at or around the end of Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I plan to involve the community very directly in the development of Ragdoll Operations.

Players will be encouraged to share feedback and bug reports through the Steam forums (and a community Discord if there is enough interest). I want to hear which weapons feel good or weak, which missions are fun or frustrating, and what kind of modes or boss ideas players would like to see next.

Based on this feedback I plan to:

Adjust balance (weapons, enemies, difficulty levels).

Prioritize new content such as maps, modes and boss encounters.

Run small polls or discussions before making bigger design decisions.

The goal is to iterate in short cycles, communicate the changes in patch notes, and shape the final version of the game together with the community rather than building it in isolation.”

About This Game

Ragdoll Operations is a fast–paced third-person shooter that mixes tight gunplay with over-the-top ragdoll physics. Every bullet, explosion, and collision can send characters flying, turning each firefight into a chaotic action-comedy scene. Your goal is to complete risky operations, work with your team, and somehow stay on your feet in the middle of the mess.

Precise aiming is important, but learning to control your wobbling, physics-driven soldier is just as crucial. From tight corridor breaches to open-area battles, grenades that scatter enemies across the map, and physics-driven mini scenarios, no two encounters ever play out the same way.

Key Features

  • Physics-driven, active ragdoll character controller

  • Third-person camera with responsive movement and aiming

  • Multiple weapon types: rifles, pistols, shotguns, explosives and more

  • Mission-based structure with replayable scenarios and different difficulty levels

  • Easy to pick up, hard to master arcade-style shooting

  • Stylized visuals and exaggerated ragdoll reactions for a fun, over-the-top atmosphere

Ragdoll Operations aims to blend serious tactical decision-making with ridiculous physics moments, creating a shooter you’ll want to jump back into again and again for “just one more mission.”

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

This game uses traditional, non-generative AI only for gameplay logic such as enemy navigation, combat behavior, and basic decision-making (for example taking cover, flanking, or reacting to player actions).

We do not use generative AI to create art, animation, audio, or text, and we do not use AI for biometric analysis, surveillance, or player profiling. No player data is used to train any AI systems.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

This game contains frequent stylized violence using firearms and explosives.
Human-like characters are shot, blown up, and knocked down with exaggerated ragdoll physics.
Visible stylized blood effects can appear when characters are hit or die, but there is no dismemberment and no realistic gore.
There is no nudity or sexual content.
Players who may be sensitive to depictions of gun violence, blood, or death should take this into account.
