What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Kneel! is a systems-driven game — a living city built on behavior, needs, and social pressure.
The simulation is complex, and it’s impossible to predict every reaction of its citizens or how players will use the tools of control.

Early Access allows us to refine these systems directly with the community: to see which mechanics feel natural, which need balance, and which stories emerge from the chaos.

Our goal is not to release faster — but to release better, together with players who want to watch the city evolve from its first breath.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Kneel! is planned to remain in Early Access for several months up to one year.
The duration will depend on player feedback, system stability, and the scope of additional districts and mechanics added during development.
We’ll leave Early Access once the city feels complete and its systems truly alive.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Kneel! is actively evolving during Early Access.
The current version focuses on core systems such as NPC behavior, social influence, and city exploration.

Development may explore expanding the city structure, experimenting with new districts, and deepening interactions with residents over time.
Some mechanics and systems may change, be reworked, or removed as the game evolves based on feedback.

We also plan to add progression, character development, and optional storylines that reveal the true nature of the city and your influence within it.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Kneel! already includes the first playable district — a fully simulated urban area populated with dozens of autonomous citizens.
NPCs have unique weaknesses and needs that influence their behavior, and players can observe, manipulate, and reshape their routines through faith, fear, or persuasion.

The build also features working systems for saving, localization, crafting symbolic items, and basic progression of influence.
Core AI navigation, physics, and world interaction are in place.

Further updates will expand the simulation with new mechanics, districts, and storylines, while keeping existing saves compatible whenever possible.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually raise the price as we ship new content and features.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Through the community forums, I’ll be gathering feedback on every update and openly discussing upcoming features and design changes with players.”

About This Game

Kneel! is a dark, stylized simulation about control, faith, and the slow corruption of ordinary people.
You arrive in a forgotten district — a quiet corner of the city where the streets still obey unseen rules.
At first, you only observe. Then you start to act.

Build influence. Shape routines. Discover the weaknesses of those around you — fear, fatigue, grief, loyalty.
Every citizen has needs; every need can be used.

What begins as a search for meaning becomes a quiet conquest.
The city will change — not through force, but through devotion.

Core Features

  • Living District Simulation – watch and manipulate dozens of citizens with unique traits, habits, and vulnerabilities.

  • Faith as Power – build rituals, craft symbolic objects, and spread belief to gain control over the population.

  • Base Expansion – secure safehouses, expand your inner circle, and manage resources across multiple city zones.

  • Dynamic AI Behavior – pedestrians react to your influence, the police enforce order, and chaos spreads naturally.

  • Stylized 3D World – a gritty, atmospheric urban environment rendered in a distinctive low-poly style.

  • Multiple Outcomes – your leadership can bring unity… or ruin.

This game contains mature themes including psychological manipulation, violence, and depictions of social control and devotion.
