Why Early Access?

“Mutiny's Wake is fully playable, but the Early Access phase is utilized to find and fix any remaining bugs that might have been missed during internal testing, and to hear community suggestions for balance and potential new features. As a thank you to early supporters, players who reach 3 hours of playtime during this phase will be rewarded with exclusive Steam Inventory items: the untradeable Founder's Coin (gives your in-game name a golden color), and the tradeable White Coat and White Leather Coat (allows unlocking their crafting blueprints in the game using SP).”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The Early Access phase is estimated to last up to 6 months. While the foundational gameplay mechanics are already complete, this window provides ample time to thoroughly stress-test the game, listen to community suggestions for potential new features, and refine the combat balance before the official launch.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“While the Early Access build delivers the complete core experience, the full version is planned to be more refined. The current intention is to provide a polished, stable experience, and implement changes deemed necessary during the Early Access phase. Additionally, the exclusive Early Access item drops will end when the full version launches. The untradeable Founder's Coin will become permanently unobtainable, while the White Coat and White Leather Coat will only be obtainable by trading with Early Access players.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access build contains the complete core gameplay loop. The game is fully playable, allowing players to immediately host or join sessions. All foundational systems are fully implemented, including resource gathering, tiered base building, raiding, naval combat, PvP and PvE.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No, there are no plans to increase the price after Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback is the primary driving force behind the Early Access phase. Active engagement will take place directly in the official Discord server and the Steam Community Hub. Player reports and suggestions will directly affect the deployment of hotfixes and updates.”

About This Game

Mutiny’s Wake is a survival game set during the Golden Age of Piracy, where a mutiny leaves survivors stranded on a hostile island with limited resources and constant danger.

After your ship crashes, you wash ashore with nothing. The island is occupied by pirates fighting over what little remains. Resources do not respawn, every decision matters, and survival depends on planning, awareness, and knowing when to fight.

Scavenge, hunt, build a base, and craft tools, weapons, clothing, traps and ships. Hide from pirates or kill them to steal their resources. Wildlife is just as dangerous, with cougars and panthers roaming the island.

The island holds dangerous locations and rare opportunities. A sealed cave hides valuable resources and deadly threats. Wrecks, docks, and taverns controlled by pirates offer supplies, if you survive long enough to take them. A heavily armed ship occasionally patrols the waters, threatening player vessels but rewarding those who manage to sink it.

Play solo or with others in peer-to-peer multiplayer for up to 8 players.

Progression is blueprint-based, with crafting blueprints unlocked through levelling, allowing you to specialize your approach to survival.
