“We expect The Hunger of Z’eeth to remain in Early Access for several months—anywhere in the timeframe of 5–12 months. Our team has recognized that the engine Z’eeth was developed with has some limitations. With that acknowledged, our development team will likely be moving the art assets into a different engine to allow for better scaling of new features.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan for the full version to expand on the current experience with additional content, improved balance, and overall polish. This may include new mechanics, expanded challenges, and quality-of-life improvements based on community feedback.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of The Hunger of Z’eeth is fully playable and represents the core gameplay experience.

Players engage in a timing-based action loop where they must feed Z’eeth cheeseburgers, increasing a visible burger counter (such as 0/50). As more burgers are fed, Z’eeth becomes increasingly sluggish, creating openings for the player to attack.

Attacking before feeding enough burgers causes Z’eeth to retaliate, increasing the challenge and requiring careful timing and patience.

The current version includes:

A complete core gameplay loop focused on feeding burgers and attacking at the right time

A visible burger count that tracks progress toward making Z’eeth sluggish

Real-time enemy reactions and punishments for mistimed attacks

Win and fail states

Full mouse/keyboard controls

Additional content, balancing, and polish may be added during Early Access, but the primary mechanics and gameplay systems are already implemented and playable.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

About This Game

Once, our planet lived in peace and harmony.

Then came Z’eeth the Terrible — a ravenous cosmic being who feeds on worlds themselves. Faced with total destruction, the galaxy discovered one unlikely weakness: the humble cheeseburger.

In The Hunger of Z’eeth, your mission is simple — and dangerous.

You must feed Z’eeth burgers again and again, lulling him into a distracted, overstuffed stupor. Only when he’s tired and unfocused can you strike back. Attack too early, and Z’eeth will realize your plan… and retaliate.

Gameplay features include:

  • A timing-based action loop: feed burgers, track progress, and attack strategically

  • A visible burger counter (for example, 0/50) that shows how close Z’eeth is to becoming sluggish

  • Increasing challenge as Z’eeth reacts to your actions

  • Win and fail states with risk-reward gameplay

  • Full mouse/keyboard controls

I used Ai to help improve my typing speed in certain area's. I laid out the entire game design on a whiteboard prior to making the game, and during the development process I used tips for organization of my global variables and other small improvements to my Visual studio file.

Wanna know what I used Ai most for? "Hey can you move my art down on the screen by 15 pixels?" XD just so I wouldn't have to edit X-Y values so often.

Ai is great at dealing with some of the tedium of programming. :)
