What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Vampirium: 1997 is a systems-driven simulation game, the development of which benefits immensely from player feedback. Releasing into early access allows us to better respond to what the community wants, be it new content, quality of life updates, or simple bug fixes. Vampirium: 1997 will be a better game because of your involvement!

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“This is difficult to predict, but we will share updates consistently and openly. We will be updating the Early Access roadmap as we go, which you can find on the Steam page, in Steam News posts (be sure to follow the game to get those in your feed), and on our socials. Once we’ve got the game into its best possible state for release, we’ll announce the full launch. We expect this to take around two years. In the meantime, we'll keep reviewing feedback so we know what you want to see from 1.0!

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Throughout Early Access, the game will receive regular content updates that can be followed on our roadmap. The full version of Vampirium: 1997 will add several new levels, each introducing new objects, powers, and an increased overall level cap. We will also continue to improve the game through optimization, bug fixes, and implementing player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Early Access will include several locations that allow players to explore the game’s systems and experience the variety of interactions possible so far.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price for Vampirium: 1997 will increase after Early Access. The lower Early Access price is in appreciation of the community's continued feedback and help in making the game live forever through their blood and sacrifice.

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Vampirium: 1997 will continue to grow in strength, content, and stability through Early Access. We encourage the community to use the game’s built-in feedback system to provide their thoughts and experiences to make the game better for all current and future players. We’d also welcome the community’s help in spreading the word about Vampirium: 1997; the more early access players, the more feedback we receive, and the better the game will become.”

About This Game

You are a descendent of Dracula’s empire, tasked with eliminating his enemies. Dracula demands results; the details are yours to figure out.

Distract, dispose, or dismember guards. Choose your weapon from items found in each environment. Rely on stealth to keep casualties at a minimum, or forge a path to your target with silver.

Click and combine game tiles to access verbs and craft your own diabolical resolutions. Vampirium: 1997 is an immersive sim refocused on the fundamentals. Hunt across multiple locations and discuss your tactics with Dracula himself.

Resolve missions your way. Explore different approaches with each replay, unlocking new tasks for each level after your first successful run. Uncover secrets of your Master’s enemies, try using the rising sun to your advantage or learn to hypnotize the help to access blocked areas. If it’s for the good of the empire, it will earn Dracula’s approval, and his trust.

Find creative methods to dispatch targets and earn XP, then use it to advance your own abilities with a branching skill tree; hone your powers of manipulation as a secretive revenant, or sate your thirst as a wrathful creature of the night.

The way you evolve your dark self will determine your play style, and vice versa. Rampage through levels with vampiric fury or grace and a silver tongue. The choice is yours.

Vampirium: 1997 is a developing world coming to Early Access. New characters, settings and powers are being added with each location released. With them, defend Dracula’s shadowed empire from the coming of the light. Join us.
