Why Early Access?

“Our goal is to make Cranked the best mountain bike game when it comes to replicating what it feels like to ride a real bike. The more riders and players giving us feedback in the early days of development, the better equipped we will be to reach that goal. We are a small indie team of five. The five of us don't have all the answers and that is why we love getting the community involved.

We plan to use Early Access to get player feedback on the core physics, challenge difficulty, multiplayer, modding, and so much more. Your feedback during Early Access will shape the future of Cranked. So many features in Cranked came directly from the community and opening up Early Access to everyone will allow even more ideas from all of you. How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The plan for the final version is that it will have more content than the Early Access version. The Early Access version has most of the core features in place but in a limited state. Over the course of Early Access we will add more customization options, challenges, events, modes, improvements to modding, new bike types, tricks, and more. ”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version includes our massive open-world Forest map with over 60 trails to explore and race, the start of the 'career' mode, basic customization, multiple bike types ready for physics testing, modding for maps, and two additional smaller first-party maps. You can play offline or online in multiplayer with text chat and prox chat. ”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We're not planning on changing the price when we leave Early Access. ”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We take community feedback seriously. We've had the community involved since the early pre-alpha days (just barely after we finished the prototype). So much of the game has improved because of the community. We will continue to share our roadmap with the community which allows them to submit their own feature requests that others can vote on. Items with the most votes will get implemented first. We hang out in our Discord having direct communication with players on new ideas, bugs, and features. We are regularly in Discord voice chat playing with the community and gathering feedback. We make ourselves available to the community because at the end of the day, we are making this game for you guys. ”
