About This Demo

COCOBOY Demo Disc is a culmination of around the first year of COCOBOY's development. The contents of this demo include:

• Lost Attic's tutorial area and the first half of the first level, Coco Coast.

• 5 Modcart abilities.

• 18 collectible merchandise items.

• Full support for Keyboard & Mouse, Controller, and Steam Deck.

• All major planned game systems and quality of life features, including save data and settings.

• A bonus level from the game jam version, now known as the Gray Wastes.

  • This level isn't planned for the full release, but it's here to give more content to play with while more levels are being developed.

• A fully functional VHS player, including a hand-animated cartoon and live-action FMV segment

Merchandise is bought with the coins you collect throughout the game's levels, and more listings are unlocked as you progress and clear certain challenges. Maybe these artifacts can even guide you towards secrets in the game itself..?

Browse the in-game Cocoboy Forums and experience a community growing in real-time as you play. Check discussion threads for game tips, hints, rumors, theories, and arguments.

The forum serves as an in-game hint system, so you will never have to leave the cozy confines of your room in the event of getting stuck.

The secrets of Cocoboy run their roots deep, so you'll have to think outside the box to find them all. Each level contains a unique "Secret Seedling" meta puzzle, with countless more secrets beyond that.

A prototype version was originally developed in one week for Vinesauce's Shroomjam 2024. After seeing how much the original game resonated, we decided to continue development and make COCOBOY a full game.
