Why Early Access?

“Early Access allows the game to grow with player feedback during development.

This project is an attempt to merge two distinct gameplay styles—RTS and RPG—into a unified experience, and community input is valuable in shaping how these systems evolve.

As a solo-developed project, player feedback helps guide priorities, refine mechanics, and improve the overall experience over time.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game is expected to remain in Early Access for approximately 24–36 months. This timeframe may change depending on development progress and player feedback.

As a solo-developed project, development pace can vary, but the goal is to steadily expand core systems, improve gameplay mechanics, and introduce new story-driven content throughout this period before reaching a full release.

During this time, the primary focus is on improving gameplay mechanics and gradually introducing new story-driven missions through updates.

As a solo developer, development pace may vary, and the exact duration of Early Access may change based on progress and player feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“There are several features I am currently exploring and working toward for a potential 1.0 release. While plans may evolve during development, my current goals include:

1. Expanding the game with a more complete storyline integrated into the open world.
2. Exploring compatibility with VR platforms such as Meta Quest.
3. Continuing to develop and deepen the base-building system with more complexity and options.

As development continues, these plans may change based on player feedback and overall progress.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is currently in an early alpha state.

Core gameplay systems are in place, allowing players to experience the main loop with win and loss conditions. Existing features include:

A functional day/night cycle
Player progression with a developing skill tree system
An in-game store for purchasing gadgets, weapons, ammunition, and consumables
Buildable turrets and defensive structures
A PvP mode to test the player controller against another player

These systems are still in active development and may change as the game continues to evolve.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. Expect the price to gradually increase as new content, features, and improvements are added during Early Access.

The goal is for Early Access players to receive the game at a lower price while it is still in development, with the price potentially increasing as the game expands toward a more complete experience.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to involve the community throughout development in several ways:

Sharing development updates through YouTube dev logs and Discord
Hosting occasional live streams focused on asset creation and coding
Using polls to help guide priorities for future content and improvements

Community feedback plays an important role in refining gameplay and overall experience. While the core vision and direction of the game will remain consistent, player input will help shape how features are expanded and improved over time.”

About This Game

Suburbia takes place in a small town full of kids with nothing but time on their hands. Enough time to start a block war. Take a journey through childhood.

Every day the kids in the neighborhood gather to play a game of war that spans the entire neighborhood street block but things will inevitably get out of hand and the battle will eventually expand to take place throughout the entire county. Explore a Vibrant Handcrafted Voxel World, discovering unlikely allies and unsuspecting betrayal as you build your team  throughout your adventure.

The war efforts will be expensive as you and your friends must fight in real-time combat, navigate the town to secure resources to fund your campaign, ensuring your troops are well armed, and able to function adequately in combat, and defend the headquarters and chokepoints while simultaneously preventing the enemy faction from securing resources, this game will be a strategy game involving pawn & resource management and combat logistics to ensure victory.
