Why Early Access?

“The core loop, progression, and online co-op are done and fun, but we want to grow the content alongside the community that's actually chasing our leaderboards.

Early Access lets us add bosses, skills, artifacts, and unlocks based on how people really play — while keeping leaderboard competition fair every step of the way. Player feedback directly shapes what we build next.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We’re aiming for a full release by Q3/Q4-2026. However, if the community wants to see more content, new features, or expanded systems, we’re open to extending Early Access to make sure everything reaches its full potential.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to expand on the Early Access foundation with new maps, bosses, skills, and progression systems. For the first release, our focus is on improving overall balance, polish, and performance to deliver a smoother, more complete, and deeply replayable experience.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core experience is complete and fully playable — this is not a vertical slice. You get the full gameplay loop: survive endless waves, collect mycelium, level up, evolve and morph your skills, and climb the global leaderboards solo or in online co-op.

Current content includes:

- 4 playable characters, each with unique abilities (Mo-Ying, Ensa, Wortak, Vaylen)
- 60+ perk cards and skill morphs
- 10+ skills
- 10+ enemy types
- 1 major boss fight
- 10+ artifacts
- Collectible mushrooms for upgrades and meta progression
- Online co-op
- Global leaderboards, split by difficulty and player count (because a 4-player diff-3 run isn't a solo diff-1 run)

More bosses, skills, and permanent unlocks will be added throughout Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, the price will increase slightly after Early Access to reflect the additional content, features, and overall improvements added throughout development.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We actively listen to player suggestions, bug reports, and balance discussions to guide future updates and improvements. Our development approach is flexible and we plan to involve the community through regular updates, open discussions, and by adjusting priorities based on what players enjoy most. Players will also be able to join our Discord Server to share feedback, report issues, and be part of the game’s ongoing evolution.”

Mycofall is a bullet heaven title that offers fast gameplay, deep playstyle and build optimization and a unique mushroom core loop that blends collecting resources and killing creeps.

No aiming is required, you focus on moving, dashing, dodging, making build decisions and collecting your primary resource: mycelium. It spawns as you kill insects, the faster you, the more mushrooms spawn, got the idea? Perfect for the min-maxing kind of players, huh?

Face endless waves of twisted insects in our fantasy bullet-hell survivors-like setting. Play solo or team up online, share progress, and combine powers to stand against the swarm together. If you are looking for a game like Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor or The Spell Brigade our game is for you!

The unique mushroom core loop blends killing creeps and collecting your main resource mycelium that spawns as you kill enemies. If you want to master Mycofall's core mechanic you'll need to build your own playstyle that allows you perfect pathing to collect the mycelium while killing enough creeps to trigger the mushroom respawn-o-meter.

If you struggle to climb up the leaderboard it's most likely because you screw up paying attention to this system. No worries it takes some time and practice to improve your mycelium-per-minute-rate (mpm - yeah, that's a real metric).

In Mycofall your character holds up to 6 skills — but you'll spend most of your time leveling, evolving and morphing them rather than adding new ones. Want a crit-build? Done. Lifesteal setup? Yup. The "Fast Boi"-Build? Sure. You define how each skill behaves, what perks it gets, and what enemies it targets. And then combine it all for broken synergies.

Dive into character perk-sets that shift your entire playstyle, plus 15+ attributes like speed, mycelium-bonus-rate, armor, hp-regen, dash-range and more. The build space is deep. Craft your own, and climb the leaderboard.

Nothing kills replayability faster than missing meta progression. That's why Mycofall offers a vast library of permanent unlocks — giving you even more options and flexibility to define your own build. Unlock characters, skills and perks using one currency: The purple Meta Mushrooms.
