About This Game

Out of the Shadows is a 2–4 player online cooperative horror escape game built around exploration, puzzles, tension and communication. Enter unsettling locations, uncover their stories, and find a way out after trespassing into places whose hostile inhabitants do not want you there.

Making too much noise, becoming isolated or losing focus can be fatal. Cooperation is not optional.

Progress depends on the group. Players may be separated, trapped or given different pieces of information. Guide teammates from a distance, communicate clues and coordinate actions to keep everyone moving.

Without teamwork, no one gets out.

Explore a large mansion and other disturbing locations. Each map has its own setting, escape-game storyline, puzzles and threats. Search the rooms, interact with the environment and piece together what happened there.

There is no inventory system. When an object matters, you handle it directly in the world: pick it up, move it, throw it or use it where the puzzle requires.

Count objects, decode strange symbols, manipulate light or use your voice. Some challenges split the team or give each player different information. One player may see the solution while another must act, or one may be trapped while teammates search for a way to free them.

The hostile inhabitants make it clear that your team does not belong there. Rich ambience, sound, lighting, unsettling environments and jump scares create sustained tension where separation and mistakes can be fatal.
