RPG CHESS - A TURN-BASED RPG, EXCEPT IT'S ALSO CHESS

In this game, every capture triggers a battle. RPG Chess reimagines chess as a turn-based strategy game with classic RPG combat. Pieces fight with stats, elements, and abilities, and the match is won by defeating the enemy King.

FEATURES

  • Chess Gameplay with an RPG Twist  
    Every attack initiates a battle! Instead of capturing pieces, you enter 1v1 combat sequences. The outcome depends on ability selection, piece stats and elemental matchup. Level up your pieces on the board by moving or winning battles. Each piece gets its own set of abilities, while the combination of abilities decide the piece's element. Piece stats are determined by a series of factors such as piece type, abilities and level.

  • 100+ Abilities, 12 Environments & More

    The game includes over 100 unique abilities, each one with a dedicated cinematic animation and effect. You get a starting set of 32 abilities to equip your pieces with, and you unlock new ones naturally as you play. You're also able to unlock new board environments, skins for your pieces and background themes.

  • Build Your Team

    Create your team of unique pieces in the Team Builder, and use your collection of abilities to shape your strategy. Different ability combinations create distinct playstyles. Additionally, the ability you put on your King affects the entire team.

  • Ascension Mode

    Draft a starting team and enter The King’s Tower. This mode features a series of battles and different board setups, so being able to adapt your strategy is key. You strengthen your team by recruiting opponent pieces after each floor, as well as leveling up your pieces and unlocking abilities as you climb the tower.

  • Single-Player & Multiplayer Modes

    Play against AI in quick matches or challenge other players online or locally. Test different builds and team compositions, and draft the perfect set of pieces to fight for you!
