What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“F.R.A.G.G. is a fast and intense arena shooter set in a violent and competitive sci-fi universe. We are launching in Early Access because we want to give players an early taste of the exciting and action-packed gameplay early and grow the game together. Your feedback directly helps us fine tune the gameplay, balance weapons and maps, and add new features that make the game more exciting and competitive.

Early Access gives us the chance to develop the game alongside real players and make changes based on what you enjoy and what needs improvement. We want to build a game that feels smooth, fair, and fun for everyone who jumps into the arena. By playing now, you get to shape F.R.A.G.G.’s future and help us create a multiplayer shooter that players will keep coming back to. F.R.A.G.G. is designed BY players, FOR players.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our plan is to launch F.R.A.G.G. into Early Access for around 12 to 24 months. That timeline gives us the time to create and perfect content, sharpen the competitive experience, and build out the full feature set we have in-store. As momentum grows and more players join the fight, we’re confident the game will evolve quickly. We’re not content releasing something half-baked or boring - we want to make sure we give you the intense rush of Arena Combat, and will take the time we need to provide that.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“F.R.A.G.G. will expand well beyond the initial Early Access release. We're starting with a focused core experience, but the full version is planned to include more maps, more weapons, more character models, and a wider variety of ways to play, as well as a complete UI overhaul. The plan is to eventually have a full lineup of weapons across every number key, giving players a complete and satisfying arsenal.

We’re also working on modes that go beyond traditional arena gameplay. Tug’O’War and Battle Royale are two examples designed to open the door for players who may not be familiar with classic AFPS. We want F.R.A.G.G. to be fast and skillful, but also inviting to players coming from more traditional or modern shooters.

Beyond content, we’re aiming to deliver full cinematic campaigns tied to each core mode, ranked servers with stat tracking, unlockable skins earned through gameplay, and support for clans. Dedicated server support is planned for full release, so players can run their own matches and communities.

We’re continuing to optimize performance during Early Access and expect framerates and visual quality to improve as we go. Tutorials for each mode are also planned to help players jump in without feeling lost.

Modding is something we’re excited about. Steam Workshop support is the goal, and if we can pull it off, we’d love to ship a standalone map editor to let players build and share their own content.

F.R.A.G.G. is not a live service game. It runs offline, with no always-online requirement, and there are no battle passes or microtransactions. After release, we plan to keep supporting the game with updates, bug fixes, and possibly DLC packs for new maps and cosmetics.

We’re building F.R.A.G.G. for people who love shooters, and we’re listening closely to what players have to say. Your feedback during Early Access will help shape what the game becomes.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“F.R.A.G.G.'s Early Access version includes a solid lineup of content ready to play. At launch, players can jump into six multiplayer modes: Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, 1v1 Duel, Tug’O’War, and a fresh Arena FPS take on Battle Royale. Each mode comes with at least two or three maps, and a few weapons are available right out of the gate. There’s also a small selection of character models to choose from.

Core gameplay systems like movement and shooting already feel smooth and engaging. The HUD is functional and stable, with plans for visual improvements and redesigns over time. Sound design is in place, and the game features a custom original soundtrack composed specifically for F.R.A.G.G. by our team of composers.

The game runs on PC and performs well across a wide range of hardware. Even older mid-range GPUs can hit competitive framerates at lower settings. Players can choose from Low, Medium, and High graphics presets, all designed around Unreal Engine 5’s Lumen and Nanite systems. Some visual and sound effects and UI elements are still temporary and will be updated during development.

Multiplayer is fully working, with both peer-to-peer and dedicated server options hosted by the development team are available. Offline play is also supported, and bots are included for those who prefer to play solo or practice. Bot intelligence is a work in progress and will be updated throughout development.

There won’t be tutorials at launch, so players will need to explore and learn through play for now - We encourage you to fight some bots for a match or two to get the hang of things. We plan to add tutorials for each mode later in development to help new players get up to speed.

Modding support and player-hosted dedicated servers are planned for the full release. Features like ranked stats and unlockable cosmetics will also come later.

The foundation is already strong, and we’re focused on building out the rest step by step with help from the community.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, the Early Access price will be a bit lower than the full release price. That said, we don’t plan to raise the price to something unreasonable later on. We’re gamers ourselves and know how high game prices can get these days. Our goal is to keep F.R.A.G.G. affordable and fair both during Early Access and after the full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We use Discord as our main source for community interaction and encourage everyone to join in. Players can chat directly with the developers, jump into games with us, and share their thoughts and feedback anytime. We LOVE to hear your feedback, positive AND negative.

We post updates on development regularly, sometimes even daily, so the community always knows what we’re working on. We also run polls, surveys, and playtests to hear player opinions and ideas. We are not shy about talking with the community.

Player feedback isn’t just welcome, it’s essential. It has a real impact on the decisions we make as we build F.R.A.G.G.”
