About This Game

Wake up. The doctor is waiting.

1939, the Black Forest. Patients keep disappearing from the local sanatorium, and Doctor Herbert Heidenreich tells the press they simply ran away. Nobody believes him. Now you are inside his sanatorium with nothing but an oil lamp, searching its dark rooms for keys and clues... and he is looking for "his little runaway"!

The doctor takes special care of his patients

It doesn't stay quiet for long. The doctor prowls the corridors, searching every shadow. Step too loudly, and he will hear. Run, and he will hunt you down. Open a door, and he will investigate. Let your lamp flicker in his sight, and the pursuit begins. There are no sanctuaries and no guaranteed hiding places, and you can't fight back: crouch behind anything you can and hold your breath until he passes. If he finds you, his treatment will make sure you never leave.

No quest markers, no hints. Only your eyes, your wits, and whatever you can find in the dark. Every lock you open, every puzzle you solve takes you deeper into the sanatorium... and a little closer to the truth. And your way out?
