About This Game

In Ex Vitiis, a dark first-person dungeon crawler, death is not the end of the expedition. When one mercenary falls, another takes their place. Take control of a new mercenary after each death, each with a unique name, portrait, stats, and gear. Adapt your strategy to their strengths and weaknesses, and fight your way deeper into the Asylum.

Choose your equipment wisely. Inventory space is limited, and not everything you carry will save you. Upgrade your base, speak with its inhabitants, and prepare for the next descent.

Descend into the depths of the Asylum and slay the monsters lurking below. Scavenge loot, wield weapons with distinct fighting styles, and master brutal, tactical, Souls-inspired combat.

Discover a world shaped by the grotesque visions of Hieronymus Bosch, Pieter Bruegel the Elder, and medieval art, brought to life through hand-painted textures and artwork. Face monsters pulled straight from illuminated manuscripts and Renaissance paintings.
