What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Early Access is the perfect way to partner with players during the game's development. Player feedback will help me prioritize impactful changes while the core systems are still flexible, and community insights will ensure the updates resonate with what players truly want. Revenue from Early Access will directly support additional polish and content, but my commitment to the project is unwavering regardless of sales.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Until I feel satisfied with my work. If I had to give a rough number, probably a few years maximum.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The current plan is to then start improving performance and refining the experience based on player feedback. This includes optimizations and gradual upgrades to assets as development continues.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version will include core gameplay mechanics, and previews of various assets. More polish, features, and updates would come very quickly afterwards. For a full list of what to expect as the game is updated, check the 'About This Game' section of the store page.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Not by much, as a publisher and developer I have a standard for making my games cheap and easy to access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Purely via criticsm of the game to help me get a bigger picture of what to change.

It's not anything too massive like art contests or content of that type.”

About This Game

CORKSCREW: THE ONLY GAME OF IT'S KIND.

Have you ever found a game with all of the following:

  • Randomly Generated Level Layouts, for a fresh dynamic game every time you want another round!

  • HD Artstyle, reminiscent of a cartoon or anime, giving a genre that is usually Pixel-Art a lick of fresh paint.

  • Momentum-Based Physics, the player is capable of going as fast as you are willing to make it go! The physics are reminiscent of another game series with a fast main character.

  • Crass Humour, with or without voice acting (#knowingsmile), the expressions and actions of the characters along will be enough to get a giggle or 2 out of you!

CORKSCREW sets you in Rural England in the year 2019, where you play as a young 10 year old lad who's work is rudely interrupted by a weird kid from his school (he's the guy in the game with a cat-face stuck to his face like a mask, dodgy guy lmao), who has used the power of evil (and having a fetish) to take over his small nation! And getting under the young lad's skin by taking the one thing he loves the most, his Cash! The Player must traverse the levels to not only grab back his cash, but to give this weird kid a right walloping!

System Requirements

    Minimum:
    • OS: Windows 10 (Older Versions Untested)
    • Memory: 16 GB RAM
    • VR Support: None
    • Additional Notes: It probably works with pre-10 versions, but as I've said I havent tested.
    Recommended:
    • OS: Windows 11
    • DirectX: Version 12
    • VR Support: None
    • Additional Notes: Probably works with SteamOS Wine too, use a Steam Deck imo.
