Why Early Access?

“We are a small indie games team and we view community feedback as critical. We are making a hybrid that blends a bullet-heaven roguelite with Hand of Fate's storytelling and deckbuilding. We have a deep game now and Early Access will help us perfect the balance of strategic challenge, bullet-heaven rhythm and action flow and ultimately build a game that resonates with its fans. ”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We’re currently planning an Early Access period of around 12 months, though we’ll take the time needed to deliver the experience we believe the game deserves. ”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our goal is for the full release to include more heroes, cards, enemies, encounters, progression, game modes, and narrative content. Throughout Early Access, we’ll continue expanding and refining the game based on our vision and the feedback from the community. ”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Hand of Fate: Hordes has already been shaped by multiple playtests and offers a polished, fully playable core experience with plenty of replayability. Early Access is the beginning of the journey, with more balancing, progression, content, and features planned as we continue building the game alongside our community. ”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. We plan to add significant content during Early Access, and the price will increase as we move towards the full release. Joining us early is a chance to help shape the game and experience its evolution firsthand. ”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Feedback, Dev Q&As, polls, votes, more feedback, and even more feedback! We have already run multiple playtests to allow players to give their thoughts and have added new content and design ideas based on these suggestions. HAND OF FATE: HORDES is a dark-fantasy bullet heaven auto-shooter powered by your strategic deckbuilding mastery. Survive the horde, forge your build, and unleash devastating attacks to escape a netherworld beyond the 13th Gate. Thrive in chaos!

  • Beyond the 13th Gate, you are imprisoned within the Shadow Vaults where the banished Dealer devises your demise. Unravel his dark designs as you carve through endless hordes, deadly quests, and fearsome bosses to break free.

  • Master four heroes – Trickster, Goblin, Warrior, and Rebel – each with distinct ranged, melee, and magic fighting styles.

  • Outnumbered but never outplayed, build your deck to empower your heroes and twist the dungeon to your advantage.

  • Battle through waves of enemies strategically wielding tools shaped by the deck you've built.
