One shift. A candy shop. All kinds of customers who aren't always what they seem.

In Sweet or... Sweet?, you'll:

• meet all kinds of customers and take their orders

• talk to them, get to know them, and notice when something feels off

• figure out whether the person in front of you is human or something supernatural

• consult a catalogue of unusual sweets

• make decisions and serve the right order — because mistakes are taken a little more seriously here than at your average candy shop

Welcome to the evening shift.

JUST ONE EVENING

The protagonist agrees to help out their sister by covering a shift at her unusual candy shop.

At first, the job seems simple enough: greet customers, take their orders, and hand over the right sweets.

Their sister has left behind a detailed catalogue of the shop's selection — there's no way to learn everything in a single evening.

The shop primarily caters to demons and other supernatural beings.

But humans stop by from time to time, too.

And that's where things get interesting: not every customer tells you what they are right away — and serving the wrong sweet can have consequences worse than a simple complaint.

The customers here are more than just another order to fill.

Talk to them, get a sense of their personality, and pay attention to the details. An offhand remark, an unusual request, a strange mannerism, or something about their appearance might matter more than it seems.

Sometimes the answer will be obvious.

Sometimes you'll have to think.

And sometimes a very suspicious customer is just a very strange human.

EVERY CUSTOMER HAS A STORY

Every customer has their own personality, their own reasons for visiting the shop, and things they may not be willing to reveal right away.

You can keep a conversation short — or stay a little longer, ask more questions, and discover different sides of the encounter.

Through their stories, a wider picture of the world gradually begins to emerge — one where humans and supernatural beings live much closer to one another than it might first appear.

For now, though, the protagonist just needs to make it through the shift without too much trouble.
