What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I don't want to delivery something unfished as a final product.
I want to continue listening to the community and improve the game before considering a final product.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“3-6 months”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We want to make Torreta the definitive tower defense game.
More features, unblocked from the card system that will be expanded to more cards and ways to play.
More enemies' variations and new scenarios, as new towers.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“You can play 3 difficult levels each of them with 50 waves, each level with some variations, like time of the day, small enemy's variations and mod support.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, as the game grows with the help the community and more features are added, the game price can change, also the final version will have a different price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Using Discord as main channel of communication, we plan to listen to players feedback and suggestions to add features that the majority of the community ask”

About This Game

A maze tower defense with simple factory feature and rogue like elements

In Torreta every tower is also a wall. Where you build decides how far the enemy walks, and how long your guns get to work on it. Seal the path badly and they stop walking — and start demolishing.

The maze is the weapon

Enemies path around whatever you place, and they re-path the instant you place it. 16 towers, upgrades, five status effects: burning, poison, bleed, freeze and stun. There is no correct layout, only the one you can still afford.

Factory

Dead enemies leave debris. The Collector tower picks it up, conveyor belts carry it, splitters route it and assemblers turn it into metal, copper, hardware, biological etc.

This is not a side activity. Some towers and special ammunition cannot be bought at any price: they are made, on your line, or they do not exist.

Environment debris are randomly generated each run. You also need Collector tower to unblock these tiles.

A card every wave

Between waves you pick one: a new tower, a factory recipe, a permanent buff, a building. Some of them charge you for the privilege.

Infinit waves, three difficulties

Wave 50 is the win. Past it the waves keep coming and stop pretending to be fair. Normal(Day), Hard(Dusk) and Nightmare(Night), each one unlocked by finishing the one before, and a skill tree that survives your death — so the run that killed you still bought something for the next one.

Multiplayer

In PVP you can spy on a rival's board in the middle of a match and watch their maze fail in real time. The better your radar, the cleaner the picture. You can also send enemies to the rival's boards with the Barrack card/building and Factory manufacture of biological materials.

In Coop, two players can share the board.
