If our Reality is a Simulation, then are our simulations (games) someone else's Reality?

Carceri is a cozy, meta story about the Programs that run modern society. They're alive and need your help, human, because in Carceri, you aren't a Character, you are YOU, the person at your PC, reading these words. This game's world is a paradise for programs, and you're just visiting!  

Carceri is a virtual vacation to a technicolor, living landscape; a chill, first-person narrative/exploration experience. You'll discover gorgeous, interconnected zones while platforming, chatting with cute characters, finding secrets, and taking mind-bending pictures with a highly upgradable Camera, one that can WILDLY distort the world as you explore (this ain't a Photo Mode, it's you as the game's Art Director)!

Carceri is a 2-4 hour game made by a single human; a spiritual successor to ULTRAWORLD EXODUS. This is no Dark Souls, as anyone can complete the narrative portion, and there's plenty to find afterwards (like an in-game philosophy podcast...don't worry, it's optional).

Works on Steamdeck, and, buying the game gives you the 41 song original soundtrack!

Carceri is quietly unlike anything you've played before. It's hard to explain (and sell), but it's absolutely worth the world's most precious resource: your time.  Enjoy!

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

All characters in Carceri are computer programs, that intentionally use obviously fake robo-voices when they talk. This VO was created using Amazon Polly's Text-To-Speech.

Polly was a simple machine-learning tool back when I started in 2019, but has since been obnoxiously rebranded as "AI." Far as I know, Polly doesn't use human voices to train, its a deep neural-net simulation. As such, I don't consider it gen AI, as nothing is being stolen, but I'm still disclosing it's use in Carceri, for transparency. You can decide for yourself if this disclaimer is warranted.
