Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“It will likely take more than a year to implement all the elements we believe are necessary for the full release version. However, throughout this period, we plan to improve the game’s quality through multiple updates.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The main unimplemented features are as follows:

Deeper Floors: Floors beyond level 6, along with additional monsters, terrain mechanics, and related content.
Full Support for Keyboard and Gamepad: Currently, keyboard support in Early Access is provisional.
Final Version of "Power-ups": Includes more upgrade options and UI improvements.
Final Version of "Events": Additional event types to enhance gameplay variety.
Implementation of Various Unfinished Features: Such as the supply system, party-switching, and mechanics like "removing curses."

In addition, we are considering general UI improvements and adding features to ensure players can enjoy the game for longer periods.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“We currently estimate the game’s completion to be around 20%. We greatly look forward to receiving your feedback.

Keyboard controls are provisional at this time. Please use a mouse to play.
Please note that in future updates, it may become necessary to reset part or all of your in-game progress. We appreciate your understanding in advance.
In the Early Access version, the floors you can reach are limited compared to the full release. Additionally, some features remain unimplemented.

About This Game

A Dungeon RPG You Can Play in 15-Minute Runs

Wizlite is a nostalgic yet fresh RPG that combines classic command-based battles with the popular roguelite genre.

Feel the thrill of battles and treasure chest traps, carefully manage your remaining health and spells, and agonize over whether to press on or rest. Wizlite delivers the tense, strategic experience reminiscent of nostalgic RPGs like Wizardry, while incorporating the fast-paced gameplay unique to roguelites.

While its visuals may look casual, the difficulty is quite high. The "15-minute runs" refer to the fact that, especially in the early stages, it only takes about 15 minutes on average to face a full party wipe(!).

How to Play

Start with Character Creation!
Choose a race, such as Human or Elf, distribute bonus points to your parameters, select a class and personality, and finally decide on a name. Feeling lazy? Don’t worry — default characters are available for you to dive right in!

Assemble a Party of Up to Six Adventurers and Begin Your Journey!
…But wait! At first, your party size is limited. By spending "SP" (earned upon full party wipes), you can unlock various "Power-ups" and gradually expand your capabilities.

Explore Multi-floor Dungeons!
Navigate your party through dungeons composed of multiple floors as you aim for the bottom layer. On each floor, your next action is determined by selecting one of three cards, but be warned — the best options may not always be available.

Game Over When the Entire Party Falls!
As a roguelite, Wizlite resets most of your progress upon a full party wipe. All characters' levels return to 1, and any equipment obtained is lost. However, with certain Power-ups and special events, you can gradually carry forward some progress to increase your chances of success.

Important Notes for Gameplay

The current version is an Early Access build. We would greatly appreciate your feedback as we work toward the full release. Please note that there may still be bugs or incomplete adjustments remaining in this version.

In the Early Access version, some or all save data may not carry over in future updates. Specifically, "SP" values and "Power-Up" progress may be reset as part of balance adjustments.

Keyboard support is currently provisional. We recommend playing with a mouse for the best experience.

At last, the group found their objective—a worn-out facility. The metal plate lying on the entrance floor, likely once a sign, was heavily rusted, with some words barely readable.
