About This Game

Vampire Therapist is a narrative adventure in the vein (get it) of What We Do in the Shadows, the horror works of Mel Brooks, Monty Python, and Horrible Histories where you play as a reformed bloodsucker helping other vampires find inner peace.

Take on the role of Sam, a former rootin’, tootin’ Wild West gunslinger who escaped his day-to-day of murder and mayhem and realized, after a hundred years or so, that there’s a whole lot more to unlife than blood, lace, and leather. Dragging himself from the quagmire of the Old West, Sam teams up with a 3000-year-old vampire living in Europe that’s willing to show him the therapy ropes.

Immerse yourself into this alternate world and meet your clients: self-hating vampires, agoraphobic social media addicts, supernatural narcissists, and victims of centuries-old capitalistic systems. You can’t fix the world, but maybe you can help other vampires accept it.

That is, if you can accept yourself first.

I'm being a bit kinder to myself, and it's nice. It's positive. And it's remarkable how quickly and subtly a game can have that effect. — Eurogamer

It’s simultaneously earnest and winningly ridiculous – but it’s a labour of love, and an original one at that. — The Spectator

…Vampire Therapist, there's no way you don't want to know more about that—but the underlying concept looks genuinely interesting too. — PC Gamer

Vampire Therapist from Little Bat Games is one of our most anticipated games of 2024. — Gayming Magazine

…Vampire Therapist is shaking a lot of things up in one very elegant bag… — Rock, Paper, Shotgun

Every single character was memorable, and the thought of even more quirky clients for Sam to treat is an exciting one. — GameRant

  • Real Therapy Concepts: You’ll learn and apply real cognitive behavioral therapy concepts vetted by licensed therapists. By challenging client statements that contain “cognitive distortions”, you’ll help vampires see where their thoughts don’t match reality.
  • A Comedic Look Through History: Meet emotionally damaged vampires from ancient Greece, Renaissance Italy, Tudor England, and the Bronze Age.
  • An All-Star Voice Cast: Vampire Therapist is voiced by some of the best voice actors in the business, with Cyrus Nemati (Hades, Pyre), Francesca Meaux (Hades), Sarah Grayson (Gone Home, Hades II), Kylie Clark, and Matthew Mercer (Critical Role, Baldur's Gate 3).
  • Unique Setting: Vampire Therapist merges cozy self-introspection with a dark European goth vibe. In fact, the whole thing takes above a goth club in Germany filled with willing necks to bite.
  • Minigames: Learn mindfulness meditation, safely and consensually bite sexy necks!

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

Vampire Therapist explores sensitive and potentially triggering topics in a historical context, such as war, abuse, sexual oppression, and extremism. While the game does not advocate or condone these actions, discussions of these events may be uncomfortable or upsetting for some readers.

Vampire Therapist does not take a dismissive or trivializing approach to these topics, but rather seeks to comment on them in a way that is engaging, thought-provoking, and often humorous as a way to process trauma. However, due to the sensitive nature of the topics covered, some readers may find the content difficult to process.

If you have a history of trauma related to any of these topics, please approach Vampire Therapist with caution and take care of yourself.

Naturally, a game about vampires will also involve blood.

If you have any personal concerns about the content of Vampire Therapist, we encourage you to seek the advice of a mental health professional or support group before playing.
