Why Early Access?

“We have built Volumiq for more than 7 years - and it used by thousands of users every months.
We are launching a dedicated Steam version called "Community Edition" with little knowledge about what Steam users will expect.
Therefore we are launching the app in Early Access to inform our public that this is not a definitive product. We intend to get a better understanding of Steam users in order to adapt the product to their specific needs.”

Approximately how long will this software be in Early Access?

“We expect to stay in early access for 1 year, from june 2023 to june 2024.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The main feature that we plan to ship after early access is the Steam Workshop compatibility.
We believe that making the app more open will provide the most value to our users.
We still need to assess exactly how our users might use this feature.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“During early access, the version should be stable.
You will be able to build walls, levels, choose floorings, wall paint, create a custom kitchen, custom wardrobe, sliding doors, decorate with many objects, visit with a character, set the lighting of the scene, and save your projects locally.
Performance, UX and content might not be final, as we will certainly get feedback to improve this.”

Will this software be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We do not plan to change price after early access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to use Steam community forum and our Discord to understand our users needs better.”
