What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“There's still more content to come. We have several ideas for new looting areas, upgrades, and items, and we plan to tweak upgrade balance, add localization, add controller and Steam Deck support, introduce new game modes, and expand the game's complexity. We're choosing Early Access because this kind of content benefits from player feedback. We want to hear which areas, items, and modes players want more of, and tune the balance around how people actually play, rather than guessing in isolation.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“My target for a 1.0 release is Q1/Q2 2027. Development happens alongside university, which is already factored into that estimate. The date could shift, but I want to release the full build as soon as the planned features are in.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The climbing route is mostly final, but it needs additional art passes and revisions based on player feedback. For the full 1.0 release I plan to add a final upgrade, reworked enemy behaviors, adjustments to the climbing route, more looting areas and items, localization, controller and Steam Deck support, additional game modes, and more depth to the core systems.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current build has the open world map, 8 looting areas, 7 upgrades, 3 unlockable items, a puzzle to enter a high-value looting room, an explorable town with lots of frogs to talk to, and an ending once you reach the top.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price will increase when the game leaves Early Access, reflecting the added content. It may also increase during Early Access as major content is added.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I'll be collecting feedback through the Steam Community discussion boards and a Discord server with dedicated channels for bug reports and suggestions. I read everything that comes in, and I'll use it to prioritize which looting areas, items, and upgrades get built next and to tune balance around how people actually play. Patch notes and progress updates go out through Steam announcements, and I post development updates on Instagram.”
