Why Early Access?

“Soul of Roses has successfully raised 403% of its goal through crowdfunding, exceeding the expectations of the development team.
Due to the nature of the roguelite genre, we felt that in order to ensure the highest quality game possible, it was essential for everyone to experience the game at an early stage and gather feedback.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to release the full version of the game within a year of the Early Access launch.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to deliver more complete features and content than the early access version, including an additional storyline after the ending and a higher difficulty mode.
We also plan to release updates with new content during the Early Access period.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Even in the early access version, a complete narrative main storyline has been implemented, complete with an ending.
The game features approximately 50 different enemy characters, all of whom can be absorbed and transformed into a form that reflects their characteristics.

Based on your comments and feedback, new items will be added and the game will be periodically updated to adjust the balance of the game.
In addition, some elements related to the game's appearance, such as the UI, backgrounds, and effects, are currently incomplete, and we plan to make improvements to them during early access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to increase the price upon release of the full version. Of course, purchases made during Early Access will not be affected in any way. We also promise to inform the community in advance when the price will be revised.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“You can ask questions, send feedback, suggest new features, report bugs, etc. on Steam and Discord. We will also provide regular update reports to keep you informed of specific developments and how your feedback is being incorporated into the game.”

About This Game

Soul of Roses is a 2D rogue light action game.
Absorb the abilities of your enemies, fight, die, revive, and repeat as you progress through the story.

What is Gregory House?

It is a hotel in another dimension where souls who have not been satisfied in the real world arrive.
The inhabitants of this world all release their desires and live their lives as they please.
At Gregory House, “strength of thought” is everything.
Even if your body perishes, you can reject death as long as your heart is not broken.
It is the same for the other residents.
Therefore, it is safe to beat up the residents.

The Battle to Regain Memory.

Gregory House is in trouble when it is attacked by runaway zombies.
You awoke as one of the zombies, unable to remember even your own name.
Gregory, the caretaker of Gregory House, offers you a contract.
If you will restore peace to Gregory House, I will help you regain your memory.
Your battle to restore peace to Gregory House and to regain your own memories begins.

Transform with the Soul Taker!

Take the souls of your enemies with the Soul Taker, a mysterious device embedded in your hand.
By eating the souls you take, you can transform into a soul style that reflects your opponent's abilities!
There are as many souls as there are enemies, so you are sure to find the perfect soul style for you.

Switch souls to fight.

You can have two souls at the same time.
Each Soul changes the way you attack, so you can switch between Soul Styles depending on the situation.

Lots of fun inhabitants!

Many colorful, cute, and slightly funny inhabitants appear!
Have fun chatting with them and eating their souls.
