What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“This game is a love letter to things we loved growing up: 90's cyberpunk, old school FPS games, cult movies and body horror.

We want Voltage High Society to be the best game possible for players who enjoy cyberpunk atmosphere, body horror, metroidvanias and retro aesthetics. In order to achieve this we need all the feedback we can get.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We are now closing the 1.0 release. The aim is to release it Q4/2025.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In the initial Early Access version we are going to have one map sector, with linear gameplay of 4 different monster types and some upgrades the player can gather.

During EA development we are going to add four more (larger) sectors and expand the initial area. These sectors intertwine through the abilities & weapons you find, include new monsters, upgrades, and boss fights. You can get the overall look from the Early Access Roadmap below.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“All the basic functionalities listed in the "About this game" section are implemented. There is (carefully estimated) about 2-4 hours of gameplay.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually raise the price as we ship new content and features.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Definitely! We are inviting people to discuss and even vote for next features to our Discord channel. And naturally we are active on Community Hub.”
