Why Early Access?

Early Access allows us to expand the world while gathering feedback on gameplay systems, progression, customization, and overall making sure it's an enjoyable player experience.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Mazey Village to remain in Early Access for around 1–2 years. During this time, we plan to expand the game with additional content, features, polish, and at least two brand-new biomes for players to explore.

Development timelines may change depending on community feedback and the scope of planned updates.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Mazey Village is planned to include:

- Additional biomes and maze regions
- More villagers, quests, critters, and interactions
- Expanded customization and decoration options
- More puzzles, secrets, and activities
- Additional polish, balancing, and quality-of-life improvements
- A more complete village restoration experience and story progression

Our goal is for the full release to feel like a larger, richer, and more polished version of the core experience already available in Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version already contains the full core gameplay experience of Mazey Village. Players can explore cozy maze regions, recover lost belongings, restore homes, decorate the village, catch critters, fish, solve puzzles, and meet villagers throughout the world.

While the game is already fully playable and regularly updated, we plan to continue expanding Mazey Village with additional biomes, content, features, polish, and quality-of-life improvements during Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. We plan for the price to increase as major content and features are added throughout Early Access and the game moves closer to full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We intend to use a range of different methods to gather player feedback and data throughout the early access period. These include engaging with users directly on our official communication channels and our Steam forum.

Community feedback will play an important role throughout development. We plan to actively listen to player suggestions, bug reports, balancing feedback, and ideas for future improvements, as we have been for the past 5 years of development,
