What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The most fundamental reason for this is that we genuinely enjoy developing games with our communities. We firmly believe that developing a game like Neighbors: Suburban Warfare together with the players is the best way to unlock the full potential of the game. We need to observe it out in the open to identify what works and what needs change. We want to be able to focus on the content that the community wants, and this is the way we get to do that.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“This greatly depends on how the game evolves during the Early Access. We don’t want to force it out prematurely. We want to do this right and proper and develop Neighbors with the feedback of the community. That said, we plan to polish the game and re-assess our internal timeline throughout the process and cannot commit to a definite release time for 1.0. What we can say is, that we do not expect to finalize it in 2025. ”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Throughout the Early Access phase we look to strongly consider community feedback regarding polish and balancing and increase the overall amount of content. In addition to this it will possibly contain at least two more game modes including maps for these. More Neighbors, Maps, Items, Houses and Customization. Exact amounts of these depend on the feedback collected during the Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“We currently plan to release an Early Access version of the game, which includes our main game mode and two different maps. 8 playable character on Early Access launch with perk progression and level cap at 20 and selection of 5 houses playable in both maps. We look to expand upon this continuously throughout the Early Access process.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We want Neighbors to be as accessible as possible so everyone has the possibility of joining the neighborhoods in Heartsville. Currently we plan to increase the price of Neighbors as soon as it exits Early Access, as we assume it will be better suited to reflect the content in the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We want to have as much interaction with the community as possible. We will regularly collect feedback and idea suggestions through both our Discord channel and Surveys. Besides this we will run Weekly Dev Streams, Competitions and other gimmicks. Updates will be shared on Discord and Steam Forums as we make progress as well as community-requested BTS insights.”

About This Game

Suburban rivalries have gone way too far!

Neighbors: Suburban Warfare is a chaotic multiplayer party brawler built for loud matches, funny moments, and shared laughter with friends, where home improvements meets home destruction. Team up in up to 5v5  matches, pick your favorite neighborhood menace, fortify your house, and storm your rivals’ lawn using everyday household items turned weapons.

Meet the Neighbors

Every neighborhood has those people

Pick from a cast of iconic suburban residents, from crafty homemakers, bratty kids, to grumpy retirees, each with their own unique playstyle, and abilities:

  • Doreen, the sweet granny sporting some sick boxing gloves

  • Kevin, the neighborhood menace armed with his trusty slingshot

  • And many more characters, all ready to throw down in the backyard

Mix and match characters to create crazy team combos and outplay your rivals.

Attack Your Neighbor

Turns out, the best defense really is a good offense.

Grab whatever you can find: frying pans, golf clubs, tomatoes and jump straight into the fight. Unlock and upgrade your gadgets, like the Seagull-130 Control Unit, capable of raining eggs and bird poop from above.

Defend Your House

Your fence won’t hold forever.

Reinforce windows, lay traps, and deploy clever defensive contraptions to keep enemy neighbors from smashing your precious household essentials. A well-defended home can buy you time while you're destroying theirs.

Unlock customizations

Flex on your neighbors with style.

Customize your neighbors with different outfits and weapon skins. Choose your own house, from cozy cabins to over the top mansions. Each house layout changes how matches play out, creating new strategies and chaotic gameplay.

Game modes

Things escalate quickly in this neighborhood. Sometimes into brawls, sometimes into robot invasions. Play with your friends across multiple different game modes:

Destruction: Smash the enemy house before they wreck yours.

Brawl: No houses, no rules, just pure fighting, knock out the enemy to win.

Prop hunt: Think chair. Be the chair! Hide as everyday objects or hunt down that sus couch.

Robot Invasion: Team up in this PvE mode and defend your house against waves of invading robots.
