Why Early Access?

“The Killer Bean game will have open world islands to explore with a variety of missions, enemies, NPCs, weapons, skills, vehicles, loot, and bosses. Because the story of this game is procedurally generated at the start of each new campaign, a large variety of content is needed to ensure that every campaign is always different. Early Access will allow the players to play a core campaign while also contributing ideas they would like to see in the final version of the game.

Game suggestions and ideas from the community will help shape this solo indie game to be the best Killer Bean game possible.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“This game will probably be in Early Access for 24 months. That would provide time to add key features like online co-op and a vast variety of content. Major content updates during Early Access will occur every 2 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version will eventually become the full version. The full version will have co-op game modes, language localizations, customizable characters, Jet Bean as a playable character, and additional missions and bosses until a fully randomized campaign is achieved.

There will be flexibility to continue to include ideas from the Steam community during Early Access development. Once this game is fully released, there won't be any major changes.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current state of the game has:
- Full single player Campaign
- The Party - take down dance parties that disturb your sleep
- Battle Arena - battle endless waves of enemies
- Conquest - join the Bad Beans in conquering the island against the Mercenaries
- Procedurally generated islands with 4 different biomes. Each biome has their own wildlife creatures
- 4 bosses and 3 mini bosses
- Randomized weapon skills
- 4 Factions: Bad Beans, Mercenaries, Pirate Commandos, Shadow Troops
- Enemy vehicles, aircraft, and mechs
- Ragdoll physics”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, the game will be priced lower at the launch of Early Access. The price will rise during Early Access development as more content and features are added with major updates.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The Killer Bean Steam Community has been invaluable in shaping and play-testing this solo indie game so far. The Steam Community will continue to have the opportunity to give their input and play-test new features throughout Early Access development.

During Early Access, there will be major content updates every 2 months. Most of the discussions will take place in the Killer Bean Steam Community forums.”

About This Game

After being betrayed by the Shadow Agency and learning the truth about their evil ways, Killer Bean has made it his life goal to destroy them. Yet this is easier said than done, as Killer Bean will face armies of enemies, and mysterious Shadow Beans who are better trained and more powerful than him.
