What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Our game is in Early Access because we want to involve our community in the development process and gather feedback from players to make the game as great as it can be. We believe that by allowing players to experience the game early on, we can create a better overall experience for everyone.

Early Access also provides us with the opportunity to test and refine the game before its official release. This allows us to identify and fix bugs, balance gameplay, and make improvements based on player feedback.

Overall, we believe that Early Access is the best way to develop and release our game, and we are excited to work with our community to create something truly special.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“As a game developer, it's difficult to give an exact timeline for how long our game will be in Early Access. The duration of the Early Access period will depend on several factors, including the feedback we receive from players, the complexity of the game mechanics, and the resources available to our development team.

That being said, we are committed to delivering the best possible game to our players, and we will take the time necessary to achieve that goal. We will continue to work hard to improve the game and listen to feedback from our community, and we will only release the game from Early Access when we feel that it's ready for its official launch.

We will be transparent with our community about the development process and will provide regular updates on the game's progress. We appreciate your support and patience as we work to make our game the best it can be.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Early Access lets us build openly with the community. Over time, we plan to expand and refine the game

Additional Content: we would like to add more levels, characters, and equipment to the game over time to increase variety and depth.

Improved Graphics and Sound: we aim to refine the game's graphics and sound design to provide a more immersive experience for players.

Increased Stability: we plan to address bugs and optimize as we receive feedback.

Enhanced Gameplay: we will take player feedback into account to improve the game's mechanics and make gameplay more engaging and challenging.

Overall, We aim for the full version of the game to be a more polished and complete experience than the Early Access version. We are committed to delivering the best possible game to our players, and we will continue to work hard to achieve that goal.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current state of our Early Access version is a work in progress. While the game is fully playable and contains core gameplay mechanics, it is not yet complete, and there may be bugs and issues that players encounter.

Here are some of the key features currently available in the Early Access version:

Multiplayer: The game allows for multiplayer modes, where players can work together in teams to investigate the haunt, or they can become the main haunt terrorizing the players.

Equipment: Players have access to several artifact detectors, a small set of makeshift weapons and defensive gadgets, and basic exploration tools.

Entity
Early Access launches with one playable entity featuring its full ability set

Haunted Maps: The game will include base maps so far as 2 with PCP Generation

Dynamic Horror Events
Several environment driven horror events are implemented and can be triggered by the entity during a hunt.

Contract System:
A few contract variations are available, covering the essential objectives and mission flow.

While the game is in Early Access, we will continue to work on adding new features, refining gameplay, and addressing any issues and bugs that players encounter. We will also be actively seeking feedback from our community to make the game as enjoyable and engaging as possible.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We anticipate raising the base price when we leave Early Access, to reflect added content and polish.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“As a game developer, we believe that involving the community in the development process is essential to creating the best possible game. We are committed to working closely with our community and engaging them in a variety of ways throughout the development process.

Here are some of the ways we plan to involve our community:

Feedback: We will actively seek feedback from our community and use it to make informed decisions about how to improve the game. We will also provide regular updates on the game's progress and respond to community feedback as quickly as possible.

Playtesting: We will invite members of our community to participate in playtesting sessions to get hands-on feedback on the game's mechanics, balance, and overall enjoyment.

Community Events: We will host community events, such as live streams and or Q&A sessions, to keep our community engaged and informed about the game's development.

Community Content: We will encourage our community to create and share content related to the game, such as fan art, videos, and mods, and feature it on our official channels.

Overall, we believe that involving our community in the development process will help us create a better game and build a strong and supportive community around it. We are excited to work with our community and create something truly special together.”

About This Game

In-Depth Detail
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So this all started because of some dumb rumor online about a haunted place. Obviously I had to check it out, and obviously I dragged my friends along because there's no way I'm doing this alone. The second we got there though, something in the dark noticed us. Like, actually noticed us. It wants us here. It wants us scared out of our minds. So now we've got two options: fight back and banish this thing, or just ... let it take us.

Play as One of Us
You're going to love running around with gadgets we basically built out of junk lying around. You'd be tracking down cursed artifacts, trying to open the door to the underworld, and taking out whatever's the final anchor to this place before it takes you out first.

Key Notes:

  • Teen Engineered Equipment
None of our gear is fancy, sometimes it's all homemade stuff cobbled together from whatever we could find. Scavenged electronics to track artifacts, random junk we turned into weapons because that's genuinely all we had. You can upgrade your stuff between runs so you're not walking in with the same broken flashlight every time.

  • High-Stakes Contracts
Every case is different, hauntings, cursed relics, missing persons, you name it. New places, new problems, and it never feels like the last one.

  • Unique Entities
Every Entity has its own thing going on. Different powers, different personality, different way of trying to ruin your night. You never really know what you're walking into.

  • Dynamic Horror Events
The entity doesn't just sit there waiting for you to find it. It messes with you. Random stuff happens mid-run to throw you off and freak you out, and it's different every time.

  • Procedural Content Placement (PCP)
The maps aren't the exact same every run, but they're not totally random either. It's built from real designed layouts so it still feels like a place, just enough changes each time to keep you on edge.

  • Artifact Hunting
You can pick up and move basically anything. Shove stuff around, mess with objects, most of the time you will be looking for artifacts anyways. - they can help you in the long run ....

  • Proximity Chat
Talking to your friends only works if you're actually close to them. So yeah, get separated and good luck, you're on your own until you find each other again ... unless you have a walkie then maybe.

  • Garage Lobby Customization
This is basically our hangout between runs. Deck it out with whatever you've earned, set up your loadout, hang your trophies on the wall, whatever. It's your crew's space.

Now that basically covers it all, I think you will do just fine ... right?
