“海绵宝宝动画片多数是二维，而本作是三维，可角色造型和用色风格都几乎保持着完全的相似性，加上角色性格和声音也几乎同动画片保持一致，因此整部游戏体验就像是看一部海绵宝宝的长篇动画，还是原汁原味的体验。本作的玩法方面，流程并不长，是线性关卡制，关卡中玩家能自由探索收集。游戏玩法也不深，没有角色成长内容，也没有复杂的功能系统，只有轻松上手的战斗系统与角色能力，是很纯粹的平台动作冒险游戏。”
