What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Project Chemistry is in a usable and stable state right now. However, as chemistry is a vast subject, there is a lot more room for development.

Our goal is to complete everything listed on our initial release checklist, while the game is in early access, written in the following sections. Other than out checklist, we want to involve you, the community in the development of Project Chemistry.

We wanted to give players a chance to play around in this simulation while we are regularly publishing updates.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We don't have a set release date because we want to improve this simulation to a point where it will satisfy our checklist. We expect the early access to end by the 3rd Quarter of 2021.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our checklist for the initial release is as follows:
  • Localization Support for other Languages
  • Organic Chemistry Support
  • More Molecules, Quests, Tutorials and a Lot More...
  • Steam Achievements
  • VR Support
  • Steam Workshop Support
  • Support for the Extended Periodic Table

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Project Chemistry already consists of over 200 molecules and over 50 quests. It has all of the elements of the periodic table of elements. Currently, it has localization support for only 2 languages.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Price may increase moderately with the release of Project Chemistry.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“1. We are planning to keep in touch with our players via the Project Chemistry discord channel (

2. We will use Steam discussions to see what people want and don't want, communicate about updates and upcoming features.”

About This Game

Project Chemistry is a chemistry simulation that allows you to observe and conduct reactions with elements and molecules, experience chemistry in 3D for the first time and learn in the process.

You can choose to experience this simulation in either the sandbox mode or the quest mode.

View any of the 118 elements in 3D, watch its electrons orbiting around the nucleus. Synthesize them into molecules by conducting reactions!

Choose one out of 150 molecules, view how its bonds are shaped and positioned. Conduct reactions at any scale!

Sandbox Mode

No limits, no grind. Immerse yourself with the elegancy of chemistry.

Quest Mode

With the goal of synthesizing every molecule, complete challenging quests to test your chemistry skills to the end.
