Why Early Access?

“Blind Descent has been undergoing development since early 2019, and our primary goal is to ensure that we enter Early Access with fully established core mechanics. By releasing the game in early access, we aim to gather valuable feedback from players, allowing us to create a well-rounded experience that incorporates both our vision and the suggestions of the players. Moreover, this early access period will enable us to access additional resources and craft the ultimate version of the game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Providing an exact timeframe is challenging, but tentatively we anticipate a release in late 2024. However, it is crucial for us to prioritize the development of a compelling narrative and ensure the game is in excellent condition before concluding the "Early Access" phase. Therefore, it is possible that the timeline may extend beyond our initial estimate.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“During the early access period, Blind Descent will regularly receive content updates, including significant story additions that introduce new elements and expand the game's narrative. While the playable portion of the story may be limited during this phase, the final version of the game will seamlessly integrate the complete storyline and full gameplay mechanics. These substantial story updates will also introduce fresh biomes, creatures, resources, and other exciting features to enrich the game's overall experience.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“All the core mechanics have been successfully implemented, and we are proud to announce that the game currently features over 20 unique creatures. However, there is still further refinement needed to enhance the overall content and gameplay experience before the early access launch. Our team is diligently working on this aspect to ensure that players have a polished and enjoyable gaming experience right from the start of early access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“While a concrete plan has not been established at this time, it is probable that prices will undergo an increase upon the game's official release.”
