Simulate the life of an indie dev making a game about a rock. Click, polish, ship sequels and DLC, answer reviews and move from a tiny Soviet flat to an ocean villa. The rock does not move. That's a feature.

About This Game

Rock Dev Simulator is an idle game about a developer who bets everything on one cobblestone. You start in a tiny Soviet-era flat with an old CRT monitor, a granite rock and two players (one of them is your mom). You finish in an ocean villa, where the rock is a meteorite and a cult of followers demands part four.

What awaits you

  • Five chapters, five rocks. Granite, marble, jade, gold-cracked obsidian and pallasite. Each has its own personality. None of them moves.

  • Five rooms. Soviet flat, studio apartment, loft, penthouse and villa. The interior grows with your ego.

  • Player reviews. Reply politely, with humor or IN ALL CAPS. Turn a critic into a fan, or a fan into a scandal.

  • Sequels. Change nothing, add a number to the title. That's how the pros do it.

  • DLC store. Six expansions for the game inside the game: rock soundtrack, rock artbook, rock photo mode. They actually affect gameplay, which is more than many real DLC can say.

  • Mod workshop. Mustache, crown, shades, googly eyes, top hat and halo. The Rock King awaits.

  • 110 Steam achievements. Including one for doing nothing for a long time. The rock understands you.

  • Game industry news ticker.

  • Endless mode. About 2.5 hours of story, then a streamer's room and a huge diamond on a luxury stand. Any room, any rock, and as much polishing as your mouse survives.

What the game doesn't have: combat, plot twists or a moving rock. We hear your feedback and have no plans to change anything.

A game about an indie dev, made by an indie dev. Any resemblance to reality is autobiographical.
