Why Early Access?

“Landlord's Super's core loop and gameplay are set in stone. However, we need help understanding how the game should develop further. Using Early Access helps us to understand which features should take priority and how best to implement them. Should rainfall make players slide off the roof? Do we set aside time to implement power tools? Maybe we need to implement more downtime interactions? Players will help guide us.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“A year is the plan, but this will be extended if we feel the game could benefit with more time.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Gameplay will have been refined based on player feedback. We will have also introduced more characters, more ways to build, and more ways to play.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“You can renovate the property, get drunk and interact with the open world. Rental gameplay loop is set for a future update. There may be some bugs, though with your help we will fix these.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Depending on how long we spend in Early Access, and if we add a significant amount of content, there may be a small price increase for the full release. Though this isn't currently planned.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community will be able to suggest features, and if they fit the core themes and ethos of the game we will try to implement them. Through a transparent development process, players can help guide where our focus is directed. Players can also help report bugs to improve the stability of the game, allowing us to make the best possible version of Landlord's Super.”
