I have always favored games where you made real choices. In most games with such choices it's little more than a 2 way branch, or nothing but choosing a particular ally before going right back to the same path. Railroading bores me. Heroes Rise... Does not. The choices felt like actual choices, with actual consequences, influinced by prior choices and changing future choices you might have. This gave the game a fluid feeling and made it actually feel like those choices really mattered and influinced the world.

At the end of the game I got to see my choices come to a head, and got to see the results of those choices. I was particularly pleased when my decisions caused almost every conflict I was going to have, break down into infighting as half my enemies joined me instead. Knowing what I did made such a difference was an extremely satisfying feeling, one that most games do not offer. The focus on story rather than flashy graphics allowed the game to become something far greater than the pretty but. frankly, boring games I usually get to see or play, and certainly left me eager for more. I look forward to what this developer produces next.

This was an excellent game.

I've loved the series for a while now and this particular installment was overall the best in my eyes. I really felt the effects of my choices and the writing was great as well.

Specific things I loved:
  • More romance options
  • Prodigal's, Jury's, and Black Magic's redemptions
  • More fighting scenes
  • The fact that each of your choices had an effect on everything.
  • The writing. This game was very well written, had some mistakes here and there but every good game's bound to have things like that.
  • It ties up loose ends.
  • The part when you're facing Victon and Jury walks over to you and kisses you and Victon gets so angry. That was honestly my favorite part, ha ha.

I love games that get me involved in the storyline and this was 100% one of those games. I felt a personal connection to this series and, while I am sad that this was the end of this story at least, I'm grateful for coming across it and having it become a part of my life. It's truly affected me in ways I cannot explain and I'm thankful to the creators for bringing this into my life.

Overall, I would absolutely recommend this series, no questions asked.

EDIT:
I've taken the time to reflect a bit, now that the excitement from playing this game has died down a little. While I still recommend and deeply love this game, I'd like to point out a few problems that I had with it.
  • The fact that you are forced to play as male or female. Frankly, I don't understand why there's a third option for gender at the beginning if you can't actually choose it. It says "society has yet to catch up with your views on gender" and forces you to still choose either male or female. I don't understand this because of the Zehirs. Society very clearly understands nonbinary genders by acknowledging Monk and other Zehirs, so why can't the player also choose to be nonbinary?
  • At the fight at Millenial Tower, Monk calls Stage Show a "transwoman" and Stage Show herself says she is a "transwoman". I'm not bothered by the fact that Stage Show is a transgender woman, in fact, I'm thrilled! I'm bothered by the fact that it says "transwoman" instead of "trans woman". She is not any less of a woman or a "different type of" woman. She is a woman and that is that.
  • When the player chooses that they are attracted to "both" genders, it still makes them pick guys or girls. I understand that it says "which one were you with last" but that's kind of like saying "but which one do you REALLY like???".
  • Last one, but I'm sorry I really don't like how frequently Prodigal is referred to as "insane" or "psycho". ESPECIALLY given what she has been through and everything. Yes, I know the player is supposed to hate her at first for everything she did, but. It really could be done without the frequent use of those words and others like it.

This trilogy is truly a masterpiece.

This ending was more than a fitting ending to an breathtaking trilogy. The author: Zachary Sergi never fails to deliver outstanding quality in his literary works! Seriously I reccomend you buy this trilogy it is a wise use of time and a wise use of money you will enjoy every hour of each book. As always Choice of Games never fail to deliver an unbeliveable quality in there works. The story continued the relevance and importance of different characters. Whislt reading you remember that each action you take has consequences whether they are good or bad. When ever I read these interactive novel I become fully immersed and as a result of the immersion I feel the impact of each action I take. With conscience present, I feel bad If I take a bad/wrong choice or feel overwhelmingly happy that I managed not to get myself or others killed (others being characters of importance to me in a positive light). Ah but I digress. Just buy this trilogy you won't regret.
I eagerly await the release of more of Zachary Sergi's works as I'm a big fan of his writing.

This interactive novel I shall rate a 10/10 the trilogy itself I shall rate a 10/10.

For a game which claims to be powered by my imagination, it is too much railroaded. Straight to the point of almost nonexistant replayability.

This is definitely a fitting end to this fantastic trilogy. It's still tense as anything and some parts had me screaming internally because most of my decisions are me playing by luck and some of those choices were NOT FUN oh my lord. If you haven't had the absolute pleasure of reading HR: The Prodigy and HR: The Hero Project, the first two parts of this trilogy, then you are missing out on one Hell of a time. This is a choose-your-own-adventure on a whole 'nother level of 'OH MY GAW WHY DID I DO THAT' and crippling regret. Given all of them are really cheap too, it's entirely worth it - you get more than your money's worth, so long as you enjoy reading and also shaving twenty years off your life because this stress is just too damn much.

TL;DR: I will recommend this until the day I die, along with the two prior installments.
