Egosoft has selected them as extensions that fit well into, and do not destroy, the balance of the game. To access the bonus content, simply install it from the store page. The Bonus Package will also show up in the DLC tab of the game properties, where you have the option to uninstall it.

If you have previously installed the non-Steam version of the Bonus Package, it is recommended that you uninstall it first.

This is one fantastic single player game, easy in some ways, complicated due to vast scale in others. I've been playing this game, with some restarts here and there, for several years. I figure I'll eventually "get there", but am in no hurry at all. A lot of the gameplay depends on "how" you play the game, and which direction you want to develop the game. You have many choices and options, all of which affect what happens. Again, a lot of it is up to the player. Try it, you'll quite possibly decide it is a very good game. It is definitely NOT a game with a fixed plot, fixed route through the game, a fixed ending, and little reason to replay most such games. I will note that X3 plays quite nicely on older hardware, but the graphics are MUCH better if you have a decent discrete video card.

When it comes to open-ended games this is one of the best. You start out with just a small ship and are thrown into a universe where you can do pretty much what you want and be what you want while the universe reacts to your actions. You can follow the stories or create your own.

Terran Conflict is a great expansion on the origional x3 and the new ships, missions, and Terran race with a lovely station around earth are well worth the purchase price. Given that the game has a hugely talented mod community, you will get your money's worth in this game if a challanging space sim is what you are after.

Pretty good. i'll need to do more missions to get a better feel, but just getting lost in the exploration of the game and controls... b/c my god... the interface!!!! wow.
space battles/control is not bad. few glitches, but minor and mostly audio. autopilot seems like its on drugs sometimes, but... still. not bad.

is this game exciting and fast paced? meh.... some of the fights aren't bad.... but i wouldn't call this a fast paced game.
exciting? not so much.
interesting? definitely. mostly based around trading and quests, makes a person think and explore rather than mindlessly shoot stuff down.

would I reccomend this game? Given how light it is on system requirements (yay! runs on my old laptop!) Most definitely, especially if you can get a coupon or on sale. already wasted almost 2 days on it off n on, can't say i've accomplished a damn thing of note in it, but enjoyed every moment of it exploring this game trying to learn how it worked.

bonuses: look into the script mods. big help. worth reading up on. hit the forums n youtube.

Definitely delivers a decent portion of satisfaction for any space game fan.
much better than *shudder* Iron Sky... or Star Trek Online *vomit*

I can't relate to this game at all. I'd rather be driving through the country-side doing terra--I mean--human-like-you-and-I things. Maybe stop for a picnic and eat entirely normal, human-like-you-and-I foods such as coagulated casein, grain discs, and fermented grape libation.

Be warned, side effects of playing this game may include the following:
-Loss of the perception of time
-Fear of the letter Q
-Looking for the J button while on long journeys
-The overwhelming desire to ask people if their station requires protection
-Insisting people require ATF access to your house
-Varying amounts of hostility towards the noble gasses

I regret buying this game. When you start X3, it just throws you into it as if it expects to know exactly what to do from there. There's a limited tutorial that teaches you how to fly, but that's about it. I got frustrated with the Earth soldier campaign so I switched to the merchant campaign, which I couldn't get past the tutorial on that one because it has you destroy a target to learn to use the weapons, but the merchant ship DOESN'T EVEN HAVE WEAPONS AT THE START!

I may be being a bit harsh with X3 because it's not exactly what I was expecting, but the whole game just feels so over complicated and you're just left there to figure it out for yourself, and I guess that's just not for me.

I would love to recommend this game, I really would, but I just can't. The game is awesome and has a TON of potential, but it is rife with bugs that render the game basically unplayable. Namely the ship autopilot that you basically have to use when under time warp, but it randomly sends you crashing into other sips, asteroids, or even jump gates, so unless you save every couple of minutes you end up losing hours of progress, over and over and over, mining ships constantly destroy themselves as well.

The game feels unfinished, there are text entry boxes that are crooked, I mean really... c'mon.

If you are on linux DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!!! Egosoft did NOT do the linux port, they had an outside company do it, and said company is nolonger in business. Egosoft directs ALL linux support to this outside company that nolonger exists, they do not support it themselves as they cannot, so if you have an issue under linux you are SOL.

Bottom line is the game is basically unfinished and has game breaking bugs, if they were to spend another month or two and release an update patch to remedy the glaring issues I would recommend it, if you are on windows.

I´d love to play a immersive Space Opera, and i got a Tabular game for paper-shufflers.
The idea of having a giant galaxy sounds great and there might be a bunch of different ships. But for 3 Reasons i cant advice the Game:

1: It is ultra complicated to learn and after 200 hours of playing time it still feels like doing the computation for your tax return.

2: The Storytelling of the game is like reading a cooking book.

3: Everything takes ages. Even the smallest side Mission is sending you through a bunch of systems etc.. even with the time-compression its just possible to play the game while watching a film next to it.

In Total:
WHO THE HELL HAS THE TIME TO PLAY A GAME LIKE THIS??? I´m trying to imagine the kind of person you have to be to be amused to fly for 20 hours to a super boring Galaxy for trading MEAT PIECES!! Its just to realistic, with the boring parts of reality. damnit, if i wanna play a Game, than for Entertainement.

I guess, if you are into SimCity like games and have no life, you might kinda like this Game.

(EVEN Scripting/Cheating isnt helpful to get entertainement)

Travelling between point A to B is an eternal experiences. worse of all, you cannot save game during in-space and during a battle.

Travelling time is so slow like I am watching the paint on my home wall to dried.

Yawning, Yawning, Yawning......

Buggy, very slow, outdated graphics...
BUT INCREDIBLY HUGE AND ADDICTING economic system design make this game a stellar choice for all 4X players out there.

If you are patient , love space sims and management, this game is tailored for you.

This game is incredible. It has the feel of EVE but in a single player sandbox mode. There are so many things to do in the game such as trading, exploring, the various mission system, and storylines. Highly recommend this getting this if you enjoy space sims.

Buy this just so you can play X3 AP, this is nothing compared to AP in anyway especially with mods. Don't waste your time playing this but its nessesary to play AP.

A+

X3 IS A GOOD DAMN GAME IF YOU DON'T HAVE A JOB
AND HAVE A LOT OF TIME TO SPEND JUST DOING STUFF
AT YOUR COMPUTER.

IT IS A PRETTY SLOW PACED GAME
SO I WOULD SAY BUY IT IF YOU DON'T HAVE FRIENDS OR SOMETHING
BUT STAY AWAY IF YOU NEED TO SET ASIDE TIME TO DO STUFF LIKE
BREASTFEED YOUR CHILD.

One of the best Space Trading and Combat Simulator ever created. Although the plot of this game is not so good, but what makes this game fun is the open ended world with its dynamic economic system and a constantly changing enviroment wich make it feels really lively.

In this game you can also own your very own Space Station and create a trading empire or buy countless ship to create your own army and take over the universe for yoursef! \(^_^)/
And with tons of mod , this game will cost you even more hours of gaming >_<
