Gravity Badgers is a short and simple game. The one mechanic revolves around launching your character at the perfect angle in each level to collect all 3 pickups and reach the exit. There are some decent songs and the artwork is appealing, but boiled-down there isn’t really too much going on for this game. Nevertheless, the appeal of it, to me, was this inherent simplicity. Sometimes I enjoy a very simple game with a singular mechanic, especially in an instance where I may need to stop playing at any moment. This game fills that niche quite well. If that sounds like an itch you may want to scratch, this game can do the trick… but if you are looking for a game with any depth at all, you won’t be finding it here.

The game uses basically the same mechanics as Angry Birds: Space. There are simple 2-dimensional physics at work at the core of the game: momentum, and push-pull dynamics. Peppered onto that core are some extra dynamics, like: teleporters to go through, enemies to dodge, and shields to disable. Using all of that, you maneuver through each level by discovering the perfect angle and speed with which to launch your character.

Reaching the end of each level is a fairly easy task for practically every level; getting all 3 pickups and reaching the end in one shot is marginally more challenging. You will need to accomplish the ladder to earn all achievements and truly beat the game. Even then, most levels are fairly easy. Only a small amount of them should require more than a dozen attempts.

There are also a handful of “boss fights” in the game. They are, for the most part, anticlimactic. Although the trial of beating the 4th boss without getting hit once is probably the one challenge in the game that may get your adrenaline pumping.

And so, with Gravity Badgers, what you have is a simple game that can provide fleeting, surface-level entertainment. The lack of depth intrinsic to the game is both the game’s greatest asset and the game’s worst flaw. I can see why many people would not enjoy this game, but I personally did. It fills a specific niche and it does so adequately… so if it sounds like something you would enjoy, then give it a shot.

Cute, but sadly that's not enough!

This game is fast described. You are a Space-Badger, trying to free his companions and family out of the hands of villainous foes.

The control of the game is simple, yet hard to master, sometimes a bit too hard. Sometimes the level design is flawed and you'll have to take your chances with luck, not skill.

I liked the idea of the game, but the game itself is a bit disappointing. And it might get boring very fast, I now let it rest for a while, just because of this... but being a compulsive completionist, I just know that once in a while this little masochist is turning up again to get enervated over some dreadful level design.

The game itself is cute, but as I said, cute isn't enough. The sound "Gravity-Badgers" reminds me a bit to those old time animes... But is this game really worth your time or money? Partially yes, but you'll soon catch up with the bugs and glitches in the game, if you are a fickle and easily irritated player avoid this game at all cost. Why? Because the game will agonize you over and over again, because some levels are designed with the intend to agonize the player.

So I have to say no to the recomendation. I just hope that those friends I gifted this game are more forgiving then this game.

Gravity Badgers, in my opinion, isn't that fun game. For me it got boring fast and it made me tired. And I just woke up. It's somewhat like Angry Birds where you got to get the perfect angle to do the level perfectly, but it's in space. With badgers. Not saying I like Angry Birds. I don't. There are some icecubes and planets that repel and attract you and stuff like that. Oh and portals. So it also takes a lot of trial and error sometimes and that for a game that isn't that awesome... Well, it sucks. Angry Birds is better, but that also somewhat sucks.

Lil' Sucky Gameplay to go with the review.
