This game is basically Angry Birds in space. You need to use gravity and anti-gravity to progress through levels. In each level there's 3 stars that you can collect. You also have 3 tries to do that. So if you die and collect the star, you'll have 2 more lives and 2 stars to collect. However, game is very easy, so playing like that would make it even more easy and not challenging at all. It would be just waste of your time. If you decide to collect all 3 stars in each level on first try like I did you may have fun. Well for a while at least. That's cause every level is similar to another. You need to send your badger in the right direction with the proper intensitiy. After some time, levels get a bit harder, and sometimes you need a few tries before you figure out how to do it. But sadly, there's really little variety between the levels, so games gets boring fast. I wanted to finish this game only cause of achievements, because they seemed easy to get(plus game is a bit fun for some time at least), but there are achievments for playing this game 5 and 10 hours. I mean that's absurd. This whole game, won't take more than 5 hours to beat it. Really pointless achievements. Game also has some cutscenes, where it tries to tell some story, but that story really makes no sense when compared to the gameplay. In cutscenes, you're fighting monsters, seeking revenge, while in gameplay, you're flying between planets, trying to reach the wormhole. I mean it makes no sense. At least the game has nice graphics if nothing else.

Fun for some time, 30 minutes or so, until you realize that it's all the same. It's like Angry Birds, just with gravity and anti-gravity fields, and not challenging at all.

Audio & Graphic
The soundtrack is reduced to the bone, and generally 30-60 seconds tracks looped endlessy; the sound effects aren't remarkable but who cares.
The graphic is easy on the eye without trying to be anyhow amazing, the game is generally pleasant to look at.

Gameplay & Longevity
This is a puzzle game that plays around gravity, no more, no less.
Difficulty scaling lacks of consistency: while the different chapters increase in difficulty, the levels of the chapters aren't always ordered by difficulty, and we often find few very hard levels in the beginning of the chapter, a bunch of easy levels throughout the chapter and some hard level by the end of the chapter.
The game isn't extremely long and can be completed in few hours, the plot cutscenes try to be funny and lighten the mood successfully.

The price tag is appropriate: buy it if you want to kill few hours with a relaxing puzzle game, skip it if you have big expectations and want to play an elaborate puzzle game.

If you need ratings:

Graphic: 7/10
Sound: 6/10
Gameplay: 8/10
Longevity: 6/10

Overall 6/10

Gravity Badgers is Angry Birds Space without the pigs.

No, really. If you were to replace the license and swap toppling towers of blocks with flying into wormholes the two games would be near indiscernible, except one would be an oddly warped mobile classic and the other a bland, arguably broken clone.

I don't actually take a huge offense that Gravity Badgers has more or less ripped all its components clean out of another game. It's that they've turned it into such a lifeless, frustrating husk of what it once was that makes it so irredeemable. Its rules of gravity are blurry and inconsistent, its camera clumsy, and its scoring system unnecessarily punishing to a degree that makes no sense outside of causing even more tedium as players are forced to open menus and restart levels because of a dumb penalty.

The bottom line is its not fun. It's an almost entirely worthless copy of a better game, with only enough charm to showcase how lifeless the rest of the experience is, and so many aggravating problems that only further cement the fact that this was a hastily developed product pushed out the door before anyone realized how much was wrong (or couldn't be bothered to fix it).

Trying to make your mediocre game more relevant? Why not add badgers?

Gravity Badgers tries to copy & paste the success of Angry Birds Space but fails in every aspect. The levels are just too similar, there is no added value in the different badger characters (they all play the same) and the excitement of the falling blocks physics is completely missing.

What it boils down to is, you try to get the one perfect shot that gets you all three glowing orbs and restart the level many, many times, making micro adjustments until you get it just right. And that is not a lot of fun.

Gravity Badgers is a short and simple game. The one mechanic revolves around launching your character at the perfect angle in each level to collect all 3 pickups and reach the exit. There are some decent songs and the artwork is appealing, but boiled-down there isn’t really too much going on for this game. Nevertheless, the appeal of it, to me, was this inherent simplicity. Sometimes I enjoy a very simple game with a singular mechanic, especially in an instance where I may need to stop playing at any moment. This game fills that niche quite well. If that sounds like an itch you may want to scratch, this game can do the trick… but if you are looking for a game with any depth at all, you won’t be finding it here.

The game uses basically the same mechanics as Angry Birds: Space. There are simple 2-dimensional physics at work at the core of the game: momentum, and push-pull dynamics. Peppered onto that core are some extra dynamics, like: teleporters to go through, enemies to dodge, and shields to disable. Using all of that, you maneuver through each level by discovering the perfect angle and speed with which to launch your character.

Reaching the end of each level is a fairly easy task for practically every level; getting all 3 pickups and reaching the end in one shot is marginally more challenging. You will need to accomplish the ladder to earn all achievements and truly beat the game. Even then, most levels are fairly easy. Only a small amount of them should require more than a dozen attempts.

There are also a handful of “boss fights” in the game. They are, for the most part, anticlimactic. Although the trial of beating the 4th boss without getting hit once is probably the one challenge in the game that may get your adrenaline pumping.

And so, with Gravity Badgers, what you have is a simple game that can provide fleeting, surface-level entertainment. The lack of depth intrinsic to the game is both the game’s greatest asset and the game’s worst flaw. I can see why many people would not enjoy this game, but I personally did. It fills a specific niche and it does so adequately… so if it sounds like something you would enjoy, then give it a shot.
