There are better strategy games with the same mechanics. Frozen Hearth promises changes and new ideas but all I see are the same ideas and bad mechanics.

Cannot really recommend this game. Graphics are servicable, but sound and music fall flat. Gameplay is slow and boring. Plays like the Warhammer games, in that you get resource nodes, instead of chopping down trees, mining, etc. It worked well in those games, but not here. Just a very slow trudge through the map, trying to get to the victory screen. Unless things change a lot over the course of this game, just stay away.

Honestly I am actually enjoying Frozen Hearth, yea sure it may have its bugs, but is there a reason people cannot submit them instead of putting the game down? So far I am enjoying what it has to offer, and yes with various improvements it could be golden. Then again I am not the type of gamer who cares too much whether or not a game has a ton of bugs or not. I have not personally came across any as of yet, nor anything that I would deem this game unplayable.

It really brings me back to how much fun I used to have playing Age of Empires: Rise of Rome on MSN Zone, and playing it with a friend is a good experience. I am looking forward to seeing what more Frozen Hearth has to offer, as again I am enjoying it so far!

I see where they're going but the mechanics and build is so awful it's hard to enjoy. Nothing is intuitive and the races and units are so bland it's hard to care. My short playtime is due to giving the game a fair shot and being so uninspired I decided to devote my limited game time to other, better made, more enjoyable games.
