Hey all, wow, I've never done an announcement on here before, but, I thought I'd drop by, blow away a couple of cobwebs, and invite all of you to check out my new game, Volume.

It's a stealth game, but one designed to welcome new players as much as reward sneaky veterans. We're really proud of it, and the community are already doing great things with the editor.

Thomas Was Alone, and then, Well, he Wasn't.

Thomas Was Alone is an indie minimalist 2D platformer about friendship and jumping and floating and anti-gravity. Guide a group of rectangles through a series of obstacles, using their different skills together to get to the end of each environment.
Listen to awesome music by David Housden. Jump over rectangles meticulously placed by Mike Bithell. Listen to voiceover read wistfully and a bit amusingly by Danny Wallace.


Thomas Was Alone tells the story of the world's first sentient AIs, and how they worked together to, well, not escape: Escape is a strong word. 'Emerge' might be better. 'Emerge' has an air of importance about it, while keeping the myriad plot twists and superhero origin stories you'll discover under wraps. We didn't even mention the bouncing. That'd be overkill.

难度过于简单的platformer..

完美契合的BGM与画面+好听有内涵的旁白+不明觉厉的故事。

明快的极简主义画风+优雅又不过分抢镜的BGM+好听得要命的绅士旁白+适中的游戏难度=优秀,再加上鲜明的人物形像、动人的氛围、牛逼的剧情=几乎完美。形式漂亮,感情丰富,内涵深刻,不可多得。如果不是跳跃手感有时略显僵硬以及附加关卡的10-6太难,就可以10分了。

Thomas Was Alone - Score 8/10
Played on PC with Steam

Escaping from successive mazes the Cubes of different shapes and sizes learn to cooperate with their talents; some jump, some float, some are tiny and some almost fly. A pleasant and pretty 8 hour puzzle platformer I finished in just two sessions !

The story is presented through a narrator, and although of little consequence to the actual game play mechanics, it is quite amusing to hear the choices of anthropomorphisms assigned to the cubes; the yearning for freedom, the fears and distrust of other cubes and their hidden motivations, the longing for companionship or solitude. As a device it enriches the sense of flow and advancement in the game. Thumbs up.

Reassurances
I rate this game as easy and more of a puzzle game than a platformer. In only a handful of the 100 levels did platforming skills need to be razor sharp. I thank the devs as this game could have been made much much harder.

Play ‘Thomas Was Alone’ for a fun light puzzle and platforming experience….
