Our current status, and our new project.

Hi guys,

This is Jin. I apologize for being so quiet in recent months, and for this sudden announcement.

It’s been about three months since our announcement of the stoppage of the development of ArcheBlade. During those three months, we sold off pretty much all the stuff in the office, canceled some service contracts, and finally moved out of our old office. After a couple of weeks without any direction, my life as a game developer seemed to be no more, and days passed by meaninglessly.

But one day I came to realize that making games was all I wanted to do, and pretty much only thing I knew how to do.
I contacted my old pals from Codebrush Games, and persuaded them to come aboard one more time. Luckily, six of them were generous enough to accept my offer.

Not long after that, we started a team named “Fakedice”.

For about two months of time period, we fully dedicated our lives to working on a new game. We’re currently at a very early stage of development, and we felt that we have a responsibility to share the news with you guys.

The game’s called DICETINY, and here it is.

DICETINY is a digital board game mixed with RPG and CCG where you use the dice and the card deck to save the world from evil monsters.

You may be wondering, why board game all of sudden? Why something so different from ArcheBlade?

Well, just as ArcheBlade started from a simple idea suggested by one of our staff, DICETINY was also no exception. After numerous brainstorming and actual testing on a physical table board, we decided that it was the most fun one out of all the ideas that were suggested, and decided that the scope of the game was something we could give a shot at considering the small size of the team.

I really hope it piques your interest and that you will like this game. We’re planning to launch a Kickstarter campaign on October 8 2014. Your help will help us tremendously to develop the game as our financial resources are still very much limited, and the project is self-funded by the team, which means no paychecks.

I also want to tell you that I’m very aware that many of you have many requests in regard to ArcheBlade. But with more than half of our former members no longer with us, our hands are tied and the future of ArcheBlade is still very much unclear.
And some of you may be upset that we're moving on to a new project, and we totally understand you, but we believe that this is our best option for the future of our team, and maybe even for ArcheBlade. (One thing I can tell you is that we’re continually looking for any way to revive the game, and hope we can someday become successful enough to make a comeback.)

That's why we're asking for your help to support us with our Kickstarter campaign.

So I hope that this announcement clarifies our current status, and I want to finish off by saying, thank you for staying with ArcheBlade. I hope we can open a new chapter through this new project and you will be part of it.

Edit: We've pushed back our Kickstarter campaign to October 8, 2014.

Do you like fighting games? Do you enjoy non-stop action? Are you competitive? Then this game is for you.

With more than 500 items available, you can customize your character to your preference. People will definitely notice you when you have items on.

From Team Deathmatch and Capture the Base to Free for All and Team Last Man Standing, each game mode has a different goal to accomplish. One more thing to remember. Always watch your surroundings when you play in a map as you may get hit by a train, or lose a step and fall off the bridge. More game modes will be added in the future so please stay tuned.

Capture the Base
Work as a team and defeat the opposing side by capturing the bases scattered around in the map. Protect your bases or teammates when they’re capturing. Be on the lookout as you are capturing, there may be someone to interrupt you right at the end.

Team Last Man Standing
The team with the most round wins will prevail. Be careful as there are no respawns during rounds. There’s nothing like being the last survivor and deliver a win for your teammates at the end while they’re all watching you.

Free for All
No more friendship, just killing. Are you the type that prefers being a lone wolf? This is just for you. The rule is simple. The one who gets the most kills wins the match. Careful though as there are wolves lurking in the shadow ready to steal your kill.

Team Deathmatch
A team with more kills wins the match. To get a kill is the biggest contribution you can make to your team here. Be a support or that guy who’s always at the very front of battle. Whatever gets kills is good for the team.

+ Modo treino bem completo...

Quer o personagem compre ele! Roupas extras a mesma coisa...

Viu a garota Sniper/Foice...cai matando!!

In short.

This game needs way more work.

The game is no doubt pleasant. I for one who enjoys fighting games alot, this game looked like a godsend.
A 3D fighting game with normal/pleasant modes where you can slap people in the face nonstop?

Sign me up!

My first (And probably last) experience goes something like this.

I join the very first free for all arena. I decide to play as Dic (Big burly robot dwarf with shotguns for hands. Cool midrange and powerful slow close range. can sap all armor instantly which looked a little... powerful? I mean where talking about a 33% damage Area of effect here.) I didn't pay too much attention and started to play.

It was enjoyable. You fight against people with different class and it all ends up into one big pile of fighting.

Then problem #1 Shows up.

A Renoah Class is playing. Wait 2. No 3 renoah's. I wonder what is going on here and keep playing.

Okay. When you play fighting game. Is it fun to play as the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ spamming long ranged attacks and fleeing like a coward? I mean do you like it when you invite someone to a street fighter match, And the only thing they do is non-stop doing Hadoukens up in front of you?.

Renoah does just that to PERFECTION.

You fight and they shoot from afar. Picking off you kills stealing the last hits with a powerful sniper shot and run away like a coward. Which is just that. That is the whole class.
She can also simply press a dainty button (Q or F for skills) And snipe everyone in the map from above dealing about 30% of you hp in one swoop.

This means. Example. You fight in a brawl. Ahah, everyone is injured. And then you get this Mark on your head. Everyone has it. Everyone panics. And seconds later 3 out of the five players are dead. Sniped without a chance to block or dodge.

All the kills go to the Renoah player.

Then i noticed how annoying the point system was.

For a fighting game. You can't simply add a last hitting system. You just cannot do that. Otherwise killstealing always happens where some guy comes in, lands a final strike and steals all your point (3 points for kill 1 for assist 1 point is not enough tribute to the player who has been killstealed.)

So instead of making a polished scoring system Like in Warthunder or Hawken where the percentage of damages, the number of hits dealt and the last blow are all calculated into fair amounts of points for everybody.
You get this game. With a severely unpolished pointing system making you grit your teeths in anger at some ranged classes.
(Ranged attacks should not even happen unless it is limited, I mean this is a fighting game we are speaking of here, Fighting.)

It's only scratching the surface as you realize that out of all 20 or so characters available. People seem to pick the same ones again and again. I cannot confirm this as i have only played for four hours. But for all this gameplay time, i believe i have only seen a third of the classes in the game. And only a quarter of the classes were used and overused like crazy.

Then what angered me next was the Valle class and items.

One of the most overused classed (And also mascot of the game) Is Valle. Which is a beefy 3000 Hp mastodon wielding a hammer. Which isn't so bad in itself, Wouldn't it be for abilities and items. One of them making her recover all her health points almost instantly making it the strongest healing method in the game. Along with invulnerability.
We aren't talking a 5 second invulnerability. We are talking about 20 SECONDS of invincibility.

The Valle can simply disregard most damages directed to her and spin to win.

In fact. Most overused classes are either long ranged or Spinners making it atrociously annoying to play against.

It is counterable. In fact, you can counter it often. But the simple act of FIGHTING against something so badly detailed as a 360 degree spam is Not pleasant. In fact you hate it. You hate fighting these people. Spamming and running away, Being cowards when you notice that every single methods of attacks are over the top insanely strong and whereas there is a very weak real defense mechanic other than walking away where you raise an easily bustable shield as people can strike behind you canceling it instantly.

Not only that. But people can also entirely heal themselves via potions. In fact you can simply outmatch anyone by spamming potions which are buyable items in the game.

Either sweat profusely playing this game or buy them with your credit card.

These concepts beats what a fighting game stands for.

A fighting game stands on what the definition of the word fight should be. It's a brutal brawl where people fight with combos and cunning to outwit their opponents. Instead people are paying to get an edge in battle and looking for guides on the internet to find out ''Which class is the most broken class''

It sucks, Because i had fun with this game. Some parts in this game i was really enjoying myself. Getting triple kills and such and just being badass with a giant robot dwarf.

But when i face such a bad system of gameplay where people spam the best options, you know there is some heavy class fixing to be done. And i don't know if they are fixing it or just adding stuff to compensate.

Anywho. Most of the umbalance is BEATABLE. Renoah's can easily be squished if you chase them forever, other classes need a little bit of blocking and thinking, where some others like valle and another class i will get to soon will simply make you hate this game.

The last bit of complaint on my part is the community.

This is the sort of community that would put LoL and CoD kids to shame.
Where everyone acts like they are hot stuff and insulting you after they beat you. Acting like a spoiled brat, Making silly faces in the chat.

The community is horrible. I mean you don't want to spar and fight with these jerks? They don't even know what GG stands for! It is bad mannered and childish and you should stay away from the chat box.

My raging point was when i played against this weird Thor-looking knight. (I did not check the name i was too busy deleting Archeblade from my library)

Which can easily go past your shield by throwing his weapons behind you and the most irritating part is that he can simply push you back whenever you strike him. Which means that you cannot. CANNOT. make a combo on the man. He stops your combo. His passive, Prevents you, From hitting him.

You have trouble HITTING HIM.

It insults the concept of fighting. This game INSULTS the concept of fighting,

It is a game where you must spam, cower and cheap your way to victory. Every single TIME. Standing against what the word FIGHTING stands for.

So no. I do not recommend this game to people wishing for a fighting experience. You will not get it here.

You will not enjoy this game unless you play the cheap way. I tried playing fair and i have failed.

I will not give it a score. Just consider my words.

-Smooth fighting mechanics.
-Decent mapmaking, SummerIsland really enjoyable amongst them.
-Lots of choices of characters.
-Easy to reach character content.

-Players would rather pick the best characters possible only to win. Making online interaction repetitive as you fight the same classes over and over again.
-Outright stupidly overpowered abilities varying from each character making the game unfair to play.
-So many minor mistakes destroys the spirit of what is meant to be a fighting game.
-Toxic community Over-abusing the games potion items and skills.

Side note: This a four hours in game review. Maybe one day i might come back and change my mind.
Do not take these words as true or false about the game. Make your own opinion out of this review and you don't have to believe what is written here. Maybe this game is better than what i think of it at the momment.

It's worth a try. Maybe you will like it.

I sure didn't...

A hidden gem buried in the F2P section, though this game has been put on hold by the developers due to financial reasons, and is currently receiving no updates .This game's future remains unclear, and now is largely supported by its community who loves the game.

This game is good, but has the potential to be much much better if it receives some polishing, like removing bugs and exploits, and reworking the shop and item system. It is a 3rd person fighting game, with its playstyle consists of dragon nest and street fighter crossover. Each character has its own unique combo, and pros and cons as well.A larger portion of the players are veterans at this game,so it may be frustrating for some newer players getting their asses handed to them, but once you read up some guides and get familiar with the game that is where the real fun starts.

For those dragon nest and street fighter lovers this game is worth a shot, since it has elements from both games. As I said again, the game is currently receiving no updates meaning it might get stale for some players, but there are different characters to try out and master as well.Casual players are welcome as well, this game is really good at killing your boredom.

Archeblade what a great idea this game was, reminds me of smash bros but in a PvP MMO styled arena and with Anime characters.

I would have loved to see this game go further in development, I came here after the development had already met it's end and I already think thats a true shame because this game had so much potential.

Even whats left this game is easly one of my currently most valued games to kill time on.

Archeblade is run by the comunity now server wise so you can useually find games with good ping for you.

Highly recomend trying Archeblade it's a good game.

This game just makes me sad... it could be SOO ♥♥♥♥ING GOOD!! .. But it's not

I sign on to see that I have some credits and a good selection of things to buy. I'm impressed so far until I see how NOBODY plays this game!! There's like 8023802083 servers and only 3 rooms are full, one room is "social" another is locked and the rest are laggy as ♥♥♥♥ because you have people from China, Brazil, and Russia trying to connect. I'm going to blame this games fall on it's dying player base.. But it's sad to do so, EVERYTHING LOOKS ♥♥♥♥ING AMAZING The characters are gorgeous, the maps are pristine, everything is quite polished. I don't get why people are not playing.

Fun game. Why, you ask?

Well... Archeblade is a unique take on arena battling games, taking the mechanics of street fighting type games and putting them into a multiplayer online arena. At first the game can be pretty frustrating, it has a very steep learning curve and more often than not you'll get bashed, burned, broken, and completely dead by level 50+ players. If you manage to get over that inital curve, the game suddenly become so much more fun. Being able to juggle your enemies as they sit back and watch hopelessly and you take their health bar from 100 to 0. Or somtimes the other way around. You can be ingaged in close, aggressive battles, no player giving the other and edge, or simply trip up your enemy and punish them mercilessly for it.

This game is fun to play but takes a bit of skill to play. Being very punishing in gameplay, one false move can somtimes spell death for you, especially with weaker champs. Nevertheless, its a good way to kill time, (or devote your life to it), but that's your choice ^^

There are a few cons to this game however:
One being that the learning curve is very steep, as i said above, you'll probably get killed a lot, i mean seriously, you will die A LOT, until you start catching on to the game, the small player base contributes to this in that most people playing have way more experience than you.

Another being the playerbase itself. If you dont like drama, or total jerks on the internet, now's your chance to turn and run. Archebalde, unfortunately, has one of the worst communities you can find. You might get lucky and find some of the few decent people on there, but dont hold your breath.

Finally, the game is undead. I dont say dead but undead instead because even though people still play and maintain the game, it has no official support. Meaning, the game will never be updated or get bug fixes etc. You're stuck with what you've got here. So dont be surprised when you find a bug or glitch, and no one responds to fix it.

With all that said, this is definately a game you have to want to play, however, given the chance, it can turn out to be a great, fast-paced, and fun game!

I'd recommend to at least give this game a chance ^^

Aesthetics 5/10

I can definitely see what style Codebrush Games was trying to go for. Elements of fighting games are present, with an upbeat soundtrack and bright on-screen effects when things happen. The game also makes use of the Unreal 3 Engine, which has lent its prowess to action and adventure alike. I’ll admit that seeing “KILL!!!” up on screen is a pretty exciting feeling, but I can get that with just about any violent video game. All of the characters have a Soul Calibur-esque feel to them, and most of them tend to have distinct looks and movements. There are a couple characters however who are almost entirely the same, with some minor differences in weapons or effects. The characters also have this ‘action-figure’ look about them, as if they’re made of medium grade plastics.
This continues all the way to the facial features, which are emotionless and unmoving. The game utilizes a champion rotation for free users, where a selection of heroes are available per week, so a user can experiment pretty freely with what character they find visually pleasing. Players can also shell out real money for recolors and custom skins as well, however, there is no other way to personalize your character. The in-game animations seem alright at first, but they can be clunky and detrimental versus a moderately skilled player. I’ll go into more detail on that in the Gameplay section. The soundtrack itself is fast-paced and fits the maps, however they are completely repetitive and this is true for the main menu as well.

Social 4/10

The game is distributed through Steam’s platform, so players will have access to Friends Lists, chat-rooms, community pages and even guides. However, the in-game Social features are sorely lacking. There is no matchmaking, of any kind, as most matches are lobby based. Auto-balancing doesn’t exist either, so you will often run into issues with stacked teams and even one versus four games. This will throw the ball completely into an individual’s court if they want to even out the playing field. The game can work when you have a pool of friends, but the average player doesn’t have the time or patience to organize a full stack. If you decide to brave the community ‘matchmaking’, then there will always be the chance to go against more-experienced players or unbalanced characters. Some people think this is good training, but I think effective training requires a degree of humility. I ran into an awful lot of people who spoke broken English and other languages as well, so communication is a bit of an issue. A group of friends with shared interest in the game and a working VoIP program is recommended.

Gameplay 5/10

Archeblade is said to be a skill-based fighting game with team-based elements. There have been a wealth of fighting games released in the past, so you can feel free to imagine what that sounds like after factoring in the third-person view. The gameplay features combos and active-skills that have to be coordinated to beat opponents, but there is a sore lack of combinations that makes things pretty uninteresting. On top of that, some characters are completely unbalanced and have either super-powers or a lack of any strength of note. At most, the characters only have up to 5 attack combinations, so it’s not like you can play with combinations of combinations. The attacks themselves are slow and take anywhere from a second to hit to a fraction. The damage from them are also wildly spread apart between characters. In addition to the minimal influence of combos, this makes certain characters feel like a pop-gun would have more effect on the battle.
Currently, there are eighteen characters to choose from (either from the free picks or purchased from the store). These range from a monk with a penchant for greed, a swordsman who reminds me just a little too much of DotA’s Juggernaut, and an undead revenant with a poisonous touch. Some characters have near complete copies in terms of models, as I stated in an earlier paragraph. Certain characters are also very easy to win with, such as an ice elementalist who can stun-lock characters near-endlessly. Combine this with the characters that simply aren’t as good and you will get bored from the 5-10 second matches.
ArcheBlade uses controls that are very similar to third person shooters and Smite; WASD for movement, Spacebar to jump, left mouse button for primary attacks and right mouse button for secondary attacks. Guarding is also possible, but some matches boil down to whoever can guard and evade the longest. The weaker auxiliary skill is activated with Q button, and the ‘ultimate’ is activated with F. Both of these skills require a charge meter to be filled up so you pretty much have to engage in melee combat in order to be more threatening. The controls are pretty clunky, and the animations are woefully predictable. I understand that skill-based games require pretty concrete mechanics, but (personally) I find that a hint of randomness makes reactions and retaliation possible. Isn’t that just as skill-based as any other competition? Character’s also have the same movement speed as well, so that takes the idea of chasing a fleeing enemy out of play. Most characters have to get into melee range in order to attack as well, so the more ranged characters have a natural advantage.
