Our current status, and our new project.

Hi guys,

This is Jin. I apologize for being so quiet in recent months, and for this sudden announcement.

It’s been about three months since our announcement of the stoppage of the development of ArcheBlade. During those three months, we sold off pretty much all the stuff in the office, canceled some service contracts, and finally moved out of our old office. After a couple of weeks without any direction, my life as a game developer seemed to be no more, and days passed by meaninglessly.

But one day I came to realize that making games was all I wanted to do, and pretty much only thing I knew how to do.
I contacted my old pals from Codebrush Games, and persuaded them to come aboard one more time. Luckily, six of them were generous enough to accept my offer.

Not long after that, we started a team named “Fakedice”.

For about two months of time period, we fully dedicated our lives to working on a new game. We’re currently at a very early stage of development, and we felt that we have a responsibility to share the news with you guys.

The game’s called DICETINY, and here it is.

DICETINY is a digital board game mixed with RPG and CCG where you use the dice and the card deck to save the world from evil monsters.

You may be wondering, why board game all of sudden? Why something so different from ArcheBlade?

Well, just as ArcheBlade started from a simple idea suggested by one of our staff, DICETINY was also no exception. After numerous brainstorming and actual testing on a physical table board, we decided that it was the most fun one out of all the ideas that were suggested, and decided that the scope of the game was something we could give a shot at considering the small size of the team.

I really hope it piques your interest and that you will like this game. We’re planning to launch a Kickstarter campaign on October 8 2014. Your help will help us tremendously to develop the game as our financial resources are still very much limited, and the project is self-funded by the team, which means no paychecks.

I also want to tell you that I’m very aware that many of you have many requests in regard to ArcheBlade. But with more than half of our former members no longer with us, our hands are tied and the future of ArcheBlade is still very much unclear.
And some of you may be upset that we're moving on to a new project, and we totally understand you, but we believe that this is our best option for the future of our team, and maybe even for ArcheBlade. (One thing I can tell you is that we’re continually looking for any way to revive the game, and hope we can someday become successful enough to make a comeback.)

That's why we're asking for your help to support us with our Kickstarter campaign.

So I hope that this announcement clarifies our current status, and I want to finish off by saying, thank you for staying with ArcheBlade. I hope we can open a new chapter through this new project and you will be part of it.

Edit: We've pushed back our Kickstarter campaign to October 8, 2014.

Get ready for ArcheBlade:

Based on a Korean Fantasy Novel, ArcheBlade is a free-to-play PvP-based multiplayer action game in which users can either take sides and fight against the other team or fight for themselves depending on the map. Players choose one of several characters, each with their own unique fighting style and action combos.

ArcheBlade captures the essence of combo-based fighting games like Street Fighter or Tekken combined with online multiplayer match system. Rather than pressing shortcut keys mindlessly to use skills, players need to pay close attention to their character and their opponents’ moves in order to perform combos as well as block and avoid attacks all happening in real-time. Do you like fighting games? Do you enjoy non-stop action? Are you competitive? Then this game is for you.

Select a fighter of your style! Each with unique combos and fighting style, each character brings different game to the table. Find a character that matches your style in Training and perfect your skills. Please stay tuned as we’re adding more characters in the future.

With more than 500 items available, you can customize your character to your preference. People will definitely notice you when you have items on.

From Team Deathmatch and Capture the Base to Free for All and Team Last Man Standing, each game mode has a different goal to accomplish. One more thing to remember. Always watch your surroundings when you play in a map as you may get hit by a train, or lose a step and fall off the bridge. More game modes will be added in the future so please stay tuned.

Capture the Base
Work as a team and defeat the opposing side by capturing the bases scattered around in the map. Protect your bases or teammates when they’re capturing. Be on the lookout as you are capturing, there may be someone to interrupt you right at the end.

Team Last Man Standing
The team with the most round wins will prevail. Be careful as there are no respawns during rounds. There’s nothing like being the last survivor and deliver a win for your teammates at the end while they’re all watching you.

Free for All
No more friendship, just killing. Are you the type that prefers being a lone wolf? This is just for you. The rule is simple. The one who gets the most kills wins the match. Careful though as there are wolves lurking in the shadow ready to steal your kill.

Team Deathmatch
A team with more kills wins the match. To get a kill is the biggest contribution you can make to your team here. Be a support or that guy who’s always at the very front of battle. Whatever gets kills is good for the team.

A hidden gem buried in the F2P section, though this game has been put on hold by the developers due to financial reasons, and is currently receiving no updates .This game's future remains unclear, and now is largely supported by its community who loves the game.

This game is good, but has the potential to be much much better if it receives some polishing, like removing bugs and exploits, and reworking the shop and item system. It is a 3rd person fighting game, with its playstyle consists of dragon nest and street fighter crossover. Each character has its own unique combo, and pros and cons as well.A larger portion of the players are veterans at this game,so it may be frustrating for some newer players getting their asses handed to them, but once you read up some guides and get familiar with the game that is where the real fun starts.

For those dragon nest and street fighter lovers this game is worth a shot, since it has elements from both games. As I said again, the game is currently receiving no updates meaning it might get stale for some players, but there are different characters to try out and master as well.Casual players are welcome as well, this game is really good at killing your boredom.

This game.....has no hope anymore. I personally don't think the developers will come back and if they did they probably wouldn't fix any of the bugs. Archeblade is still a fun game with artistic surroundings. The characters are all unique in their own way apart from Flame Renny and Renny Glacier, those two are twins when looking at their appearance, fighting style and move set. The only thing wrong with this wonderful game is their is too many cheats. Sure, there's the cheaters who only use the keybind for the intro taunt but then there's the cheaters who use the infinite SP, resetting the potion timer and recharging RP, along with a keybind to pause the game for everyone and another keybind to end the game. If these problems were fixed then this game would be perfect.

I just happened to find this game lying somewhere at "F2P", "Most Popular" filter, looked at the details, and started to download. As I was waiting for the download to be finished, my fingers went to different parts of the keyboard, exciting myself at what I just watched at the trailers and gameplay pictures. Well, I just can't help it since I'm a fan of anime style arts and graphics (I just play too much from it).

After finished downloading, loading the game, so on and so forth, I tried the tutorial, which is my very first step of the game. Good thing is that everything basic about the game is specified. Though on the hand, only Valle was the available character to be played at the Tutorial Section (Note: If you are not familiar with other characters, you can try practicing them in the Training Section, but I still suggest that the game must add Select Character feature to the Tutorial Section to gather more players).

To the good side of the game. It was worth trying it; the graphics, the concept, almost everything. I just said "cool", "amazing", "awesome", etc. Even if I don't have the right words to elaborate how good the game is, just my folks seeing me play it on the long run, intensely focused on the game, and trying to get my attention away from the keyboard, mouse, and the monitor, is the very proof that this game is rightfully labeled as "Popular".

As for the bad side, one of the essentials of a multiplayer online game, is the ping. I always narrow my sights at the Ping Row, seeing if there's an available room that matches mine. Though expectedly, it's an understandable thought that this game is setting its players' base at an international level, which consists of different connection. That's the only dissatisfaction that I had with the game. Others? Well, let me elaborate you some things to ease your mind from narrowing your view about the game.

Firstly, the characters:

1. Renoah
-Best in long range combats with a skill capable of hitting all players in the field, away from their view or not.
-Disadvantage at melee combat situations.

Remark/s: If you're going to complain about the character always running away from your range (when you're melee) while hitting you with endless blasts of bullets, just focus on how can you get near her. She's actually very vulnerable towards punches, so you don't have to worry about her vitality while you're near her (If you can't grasp the concept, then just shut your yap!).

2. Valle/Tiac/Dan
-Advantage at melee combats with a skill capable of absorbing all amounts of damage at a certain duration of time.
-Helpful in any team raids which is the skill of healing HP at a certain radius (Valle).

Remark/s: If you want a basic all-rounder character, I think they are best choices, especially Valle (Keeps yourself alive for a long time, if you know what I mean). Also, they're character set with that of a tank, capable of absorbing any damage (their vitality status is high). They are recommendable for beginners.

3. Renny/Renny F.
-Good at melee and mid-range combats with a skill capable of revivng again at a certain point.

Remark/s: Melee combos? Try them. They are capable of going here and there at a certain range. I like their costumes too. My favorite characters so far (LOL).

4. Hyde/Gaspar/Dic
-All-rounder character; good in ambushing and escaping (Hyde).
-Helpful in team raids in terms of armor recovery (Dic).
-Plants trap to kill or reduce vitality of enemies (Hyde and Gaspar).

Remark/s: Planning on evasive attacks? I prefer Hyde for it. As for luring enemies to team kills, I prefer Gaspar and Dic.

5. Elika/Elrath/Ridika/Sewon
-Best at melee combats.
-Capable of mountful melee combos.
-Semi-tank capable (Sewon).

Remark/s: I have a bit difficulty for them. Aside from them popular at FFA matches, they're somewhat a handful when caught at melee. So if you want melee characters, I think they're the best choices.

6. Cezanne
-Good at mid-range combats.
-Disadvantage at evasive actions.

Remark/s: If you want mid-range character, this is the best choice and the only choice so far. I haven't played this character in real matches, that's why this is the only thing I can say.

Next is the system:

1. Kill-point System
-1 kill = 3 points : 1 assist = 1 point

Remark/s: I think many players of this game find this pointing system annoying, though it's just understandable. Try to get the points as high as possible. If you the will to complain, then turn it to determination and earn those points. Remeber that 1 point of assist is better than getting nothing at all at the entire match.

So all in all about my opinion so far is here. If you have something to point out, feel free to point. I'm all eyes and ears. If possible, we should support this game. Also, I look forward for more contents incoming for this game (If there are any, then "YAY!" it is). If I were you, I'd definitely try this game. Explore and see for yourself what I see here. For players who are here already, I look forward into playing you in a single room.

Utter garbage. You can't control yourself in the air, the movement is vomiting-inducing slow even with the "nimblest" of characters and I wouldn't mind that too much if the game didn't entirely rely on spamming nonstop ranged, making every melee in the game useless.

First of all dont make the mistake of thinking you have a sophisticated fighting system like street fighter or any such combo moves. Rather buy a combo they mean pushing left click twice instead of once means you throw out a slightly faster hit, or left click then right click means the second attack will strike your enemy upwards instead of forwards. Also if you try to block your enemys, well tough luck. That wont work because theyll just break it with an air throw and then youre permanently stuck in a position where you're being punched upwards and you cant move till you die. All round terrible game mechanics

I originally LOVED this game, There were plenty of players, and the PVP was always challenging. You had to work for a kill and cooperate with your team to lock down a match, and that meant having the variety of skills to lock individuals into place. If it was a 1v1 duel, everyone respected that, and noone would jump in. It was a test of who was better. after jumping on recently, however, it seems that after the game went unsupported, alot of that valor is now gone. alot of the respect, a lot of the honor. In all honesty, the last time I saw, myself included, there were only thirty-two people online at all. I hate to say it, but this game is long since dead.

A very good game but bad alittle because of some characters' capability to spam attacks and kill opponents/rivals in battles. In this game, it's smartness and the type of character that matters in my opinion. But it all depends on people's skill use of the characters as well. This game is a good game but still needs to regulate on not being able to spam attacks that much and perhaps loose the spamming attacks...skills... Graphics can be one of the improvement and is okay at this momentum and time. Combos and skills, being able to pvp instead of co-op but co-op is awesome and is needed in this game if I am wrong and forgot about this game in my opinion. It just gives the more optical suggestions on which to join from boredom. But overall the game is really good to me and can perform lots of skills and PERFORMANCESSSSZZZZ :DDDDDDDDDDD....... TACTICS PERHAPS!.:DDDD!.

I would recommend this game if they had some sort of report system in check or some way to get those hackers in check. I wasn't even ten minutes in before I met the first hacker and guess what, he was on the leader board! I enjoy the game, it's mechanics are fun and they are working on balancing the characters out (because the characters are grossly inbalanced). I look forward to archeblade when there is more characters and acts more like a finished product of a game but for now I play it mostly because I like where this idea of a game was heading.
