1. Enemy units receive experience when a battle starts. Amount of experience depends on game difficulty level, location difficulty and enemy hero.
2. Blizzard spell damage reduced.
3. Blizzard and Invisibility spells cost more mana.
4. Enemy Orcs receive Adrenalin based on location and enemy hero (if an enemy army has a hero).
5. Attack parameter of Avengers, minimal damage from their base ranged attack and damage from Tranquilizer ability were reduced.
6. Dragon Veritorius now correctly appears in the den on Merlassar when player accepts Dragon Hunt quest from Hilda (requires starting a new game).
9. Ice Arrow no longer inflicts reduced damage when fired from a long distance.
10. Call of Nature spell now takes into account bonus leadership from equipped items.
11. Blind Rage medal level 4 parameters corrected.
12. Several errors in text files were fixed.
13. Dialog with Vampire hunter no longer appears if player used a quest item Antidote.
14. Ice Dragons Leadership bonus now applies to its minion summoning ability and they get experience for using it.
15. Enemy hero Gildenkrantz in Merlassar area now has correct bonuses and penalties.
16. Helheim song now grants a correct bonus against Necrolizards.
17. Bonuses and penalties from eliminated creatures are correclty canceled now.
18. Item Fire crossbow now correclty applies +1 fire damage effect to all archers.
19. Elders now correctly choose a target for their Confusion ability.
20. Tooltip fixed for Demonologists.
21. Dragon arrow ability no longer poisons its target.
22. A number of other errors fixed.

9. Исправлена ошибка, из-за которой талант Ледяная Стрела существ Разведчики наносил сниженный урон при атаках с дальних расстояний.
10. Исправлена ошибка с некорректным расчётом бонусного лидерства от предметов экипировки для заклинания Природный Зов.
11. Исправлена ошибка с параметрами медали Слепая Ярость 4 уровня.
12. Вражеские отряды получают опыт на старте сражения. Количество опыта зависит от сложности игры, сложности локации и наличия во вражеской армии командира.
13. Исправлена ошибка, из-за которой у игроков, использовавших квестовый предмет Противоядие, после сражений некорректно появлялся диалог с охотником на вампиров.
14. Исправлена ошибка, из-за которой у существ Ледяной Дракон не работал бонус Лидерства для таланта призыва прихвостней, а также, ошибка, из-за которой они не получали опыта за использование этого таланта.
15. Скорректированы бонусы, штрафы от вражеского героя Гильденкранц на Мерлассаре и его армия.
16. Виса Хельхейма даёт корректный бонус при атаке по Некроящерам.
17. Исправлена ошибка, когда бонусы или штрафы от некоторых отрядов существ, присутствовавших на арене ранее, но убитых, продолжали действовать.
18. Исправлен предмет Огненный самострел и его бонус +1 огненного урона всем лучникам.
19. Исправлена ошибка с неправильной выборкой отрядов для таланта Смятение существами Старейшины.
20. Исправлена подсказка в бою при выборе цели по эффективности таланта Нить Жизни существ Демонологи.
21. Исправлена ошибка, из-за которой существа Следопыты отравляли противника при использовании таланта Стрела дракона.
22. Исправлено множество других ошибок и недочётов.

Ice and Fire DLC Update Released

We're happy to present quite a list of improvements.

1. Fixed dialog with the Owls. Error that allowed adding owls without active quest fixed (requires restart).
2. Error that prevented gaining additional Runes for the creatures’ experience fixed.
3. Hypnotized creatures that received bonuses from Empathy effect no longer gain that bonus after they have returned to their army.
4. Error message while Miners’ attacks fixed.
5. Druids’ description fixed.
6. Scalds get XP for using their talents Paean and Evil Taunt.
7. King’s griffons get XP for using the talent Heavenly Guard.
8. Descriptions for Robbers and Marauders corrected.
9. Steadfast Norse wrongly decreased the duration of some positive effects for players’ creatures
10. Empathy talent duration even after the Mystics exit trance corrected.
11. Corrected misprints in the Armor characteristics for some creatures.
12. Witch Hunters’ talent Magic Block fixed – damage to the squad wasn’t inflicted while using non-combat talents.
13. Some items’ descriptions corrected.
14. Pyromages’ talent Fire Shield now correctely increases fire resistance of the affected squad.
15. Description of Ogre's Rage effect corrected.
16. Fixed incrorrect battlelog message that some squad gain energy instead of Contemplators.
17. Fixed the situation when player was unable to collect some resources in Arlania because of blocked path (restart required).
18. Jarls now gains XP for using the talent Call to Battle.
19. Duplicated talent Sowing of the Thorn-Hunters fixed.
20. The medal Favorite of the Valkyries now correctly increases damage of all rage abilities.
21. Yew bow item now gives correct bonuses to Avengers and Scouts.
22. Corrected additional damage for Contemplators when they accumulated enough energy. Conditions to activate enhanced effects for the talents decreased.
23. Improved pathfinding on the docks in the Ice Gardens.
24. Error that caused game crash during the turn of the AI-controlled Advisors fixed.
25. Effects applied to Celestial Guards are removed correctly.
26. A correct message appears when Snow Falcon trying to use their talent Ice Explosion (and there are no Ice Spikes on the battlefield).
27. Giant Birth scroll will summon Ancient Ents instead of regular ones.
28. It is easier to navigate in upper Demonis now.
29. Quest 'Stone statue' can be completed in a different order now.
30. Additional battle arenas were added to Ice Gardens.
31. 'Monster Hunting' quest corrected (requires restart).
32. Getting medal Favorite of the Valkyries will no longer insantly grant 4th or 5th level of it.
33. Units will no longer erroneously skip a turn after a rage ability activation (for example, Mista's Lightning Ball).
34. Defeating Masks in a certain quest will no longer give player too much gold.
35. An item Chalice of Tears now grants hitpoints bonus to Mystics correctly.
36. Price of Rune Mage bought via item Mysterious Parcel was corrected.
37. Blind Rage medal requirements were lowered.
38. MContemplators and Rune Mages can now target and damage static objects by their abilities Vector and Destruction.
39. Rune Mages and Snow Falcons now receive correct bonuses from valkyre Regina.
40. Rune Mages will no longer receive healing bonus from earned experience.
41. Game crash caused by Catapults’ bomb explosion fixed.
42. Some Ork units have their Adrenalin parameters modifiers corrected.
43. Ogres can use their Throw ability on 5th level creatures now.
44. Simon Danziker dialog corrected (previously the dialog option about Ice Gardens disappeared upon completion of the missing sailor quest).
45. Frosty Stars item now grants defence bonus correctly.
46. Pyromages will no longer play their animation while recieving bonus from Fire Keeper ability after they were killed.
47. Miners will no longer receive additional turn after a successful attack under Drunken effect.
48. Rezo will not have a certain dialog option about Marshan Swamp too early in the game.

In addition, issues with Kamikaze crash and scrolls of the raven are fixed n the base game.

King’s Bounty: Warriors of the North is the next chapter in the cult RPG/adventure saga. The new tale takes place in the familiar world of Endoria featured in the previous games, but begins in the Viking lands, which the celebrated hero Bill Gilbert never visited during his famous quest in King’s Bounty: The Legend.

The Mighty Olaf, son of the Konung of Northlings, has dedicated his life to battling the undead who have infested the northern lands of Endoria. He seeks to liberate the snowy wastes, dwarven dungeons, and the very heart of Endoria, the kingdom of Darion itself, from the dark grip of necromancy. On his quest towards immortal glory he will encounter cunning foes and new friends, hard battles and amazing adventures.

Vuelve la saga King's Bounty a mis manos, y como no .. un juego de larga duración. (Todo esto es con el juego vanilla, es decir, sin la nueva expansión que comentan que mejora bastante el juego)

Sino te gusta la estrategia, o los juegos largos no sigas leyendo, puesto que completar el juego (con todas, o la gran mayoria de misiones secundarias que tiene puede mantenerte entretenido durante mas de 100 horas).

El juego cae en lo de siempre, y he de decir que tiene 0 innovación, prácticamente las mismas unidades y lo que menos me ha gustado.. han aprovechado varios mapas y bosses del primer juego... (los mapas tienen un pase porque han decidido seguir la historia en el mismo mundo.. pero los mismos bosses con las mismas habilidades?...) y es que.. hasta han aprovechado la múscia !!

Por otra parte el juego está lleno de bugs y de ctds aleatorios (algunos si usas cierta habilidad de las tropas..), algunos tan importantes como que te desaparezcan todos los hechizos que tenias aprendido si decides realizar el logro de "Confident"... .

Respecto a la dificultad (en díficil) el juego me ha resultado fácil, sólo he tenido 2-3 combates que me han hecho pensar y el Boss final parece que le estás haciendo "bullying" en vez de enfrentarte al "poderoso" enemigo y salvar el mundo de King's Bounty (Y eso que no he usado el libro de conjuros.. que sino me dura hasta menos aún xD)..., así que para un veterano de la saga recomiendo en "Imposible" cosa que lo jugaré cuando pase un tiempo prudencial xD.

El mero hecho de que te dejen usar la montura voladora desde casi el principio del juego le quita gran parte de la dificultad del juego.. el problema es que tienes que usarla pq te ponen tropas "invencibles" para tu ejército de primeras y luego el resto del mapa son realmente fáciles. Al ser tan grande el juego, tienes el problema que si te equivocas de zona (como me paso a mi ) tienes batallas realmente intersante.. pero al cambiar a otro mapa (al que tendrías que haber ido 1º) los combates dejan de ser un reto.

Para terminar.. he acabado hasta los cojones de los ejércitos de no-muertos.. ya sé que son parte de la trama.. pero de las 16 zonas (que creo que hay) en 14 de ellas habia no-muertos.. un poco de mas variedad habria hecho mas ameno el juego.

A pesar de todo esto es bastante entretenido.

Nota: 7,5/10 . Sino tuviese bugs lo subiria a 8. Si te gustaron los anteriores juegos de la saga este también te gustará.

Juego entretenido, con horas y horas de vicio...
El problema es que no está traducido al castellano...

I sometimes feel like the King's Bounty games were made with me in mind. I will be the first to admit that I am NOT "the brightest bulb on the tree." But even I can easily win these games (on easy.) And what fun is it to play a game that you can't win? (Okay. Some people, like "my brother the genius" play on impossible just to see what it is like. And seem to enjoy it. But for the rest of us...?)
I have read some reviews of WOTN that complain about the reuse of certain maps from TL. (King's Bounty - The Legend. Two games back.) That seems spurious to me. It takes place in the same world, just a few years later in time. And the very few maps that are the same have all been altered by time and the ravages of war.
The only complaints I have are: 1- Many of the troops look the same and have the same names that they did in previous games but their powers and abilities are changed. And 2- there are a LOT of side and main-line quests that require sailing or running back and forth between world-map areas. (Most with very minor rewards for completion.)
Still, it is an enjoyable game and one that I will replay at least a few times so it is well worth the price - now that most of the glitches have been ironed out. (When buying a game from 1C it is a good idea to wait a year after the initial release.)

Update: (Jan 24, 2014) During my second play-through, about 2/3 of the way through the game and one of the manditory fights keeps crashing on me. This MAY get fixed when the new expansion comes out... BUT... I now say -- Only purchase this if you feel lucky. 1c's support isn't especially good either.

Fire and Ice Expansion: F&I adds some new areas and some new enemies, but it is basically more of the same... except more frustrating.
The frustration comes in three forms. First, it crashes without warning more often. So..., it's a pain, but it's also a good idea to save after (or before) each battle. Or at least every other one so you don't have so many re-do fights.
The second source of frustration is that now you don't get your flying horse until much later in the game. Why is that frustrating? Not because you can't avoid unwanted battles, they are mostly all winable anyway. It is because of ALL those "traveling quests." The ones where you have to go back and forth from one side of an island to the other several times for very little reward. (A few bucks and even fewer experience points.) Before you could fly up and go straight... now you either have to wind back and forth through the maze of trails, OR as i did, put them off until after you get the horse. (You pretty much have to revisit most of the islands several times anyway.)
The third is the difficulity in finding enough of any one (well 5 actually) troop. This is even worse in F&I than WOTN, because they have added a leveling up system for troops which gives a BIG incentive to keeping the same ones throughout. But is a half full troop at it's maximum level better than a full compliment at lower?
Bottom line: F&I adds a few more hours of play time, and if you liked the game before you will probably like the expansion. (But I have become bored with all the meaningless back and forth between Islands quests. It feels like most were added just to make the game longer, not better.)
I'm thinking that there will be at least one more expansion before they are through though because you still can't go to Marshan Swamp. (So it might be worth your while to wait another year and save some money.)

Highly entertaining SLG, personal feeling better qualities than Heroes series.
Part of the story if you look carefully, there are many bright spots, some of the quests are also very funny.
Display gives a very comfortable feeling, five Valkyries are awesome beauties of Russian girl style.
High musical quality, it will not be bored listening to for a long time.
Game difficulty is not high, so everyone like SLG should have a try!

Nice Graphics, great combat mechanics and strategy. The overall map movement is real time and the fighting is turn based. I really like this combination overall the most. I like the variety of troops you can have in your army and the strategies you can use with all thier abilities. Lot of fun and I recommend all the games in the series. Warriors of the north gives you the ability of flight to decrease map travel time within the zone and has the boats to world travel like the others.

My only con is the length of the game, just a tad too long unless you only do the main quests. However if you do this you may have problems in pacing as you wont be strong enough to beat the mobs you need to in order to advance.

For beginner player I suggest viking or skald class, the mage is more difficult.
