Why Early Access?

“We launched in Early Access to build this adventure alongside our community. While our original plans for the game’s scale have shifted due to industry changes, our core goal remains exactly the same: delivering a unique, character-driven action experience. Early Access allows us to gather your feedback on our combat systems and mechanics so we can craft a truly satisfying, definitive conclusion to Davy and Jones’ story.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Due to industry shifts and a necessary change in our project scope, our timeline has been extended. We are currently taking a step back from active development to restructure the final act of the game, which means we do not have a set 1.0 release date just yet. We will remain in Early Access until we are confident the finale is polished and ready.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our vision has shifted from building a sprawling, multi-island world to delivering a tighter, highly focused revenge adventure.

The Early Access build already includes:
- Core gameplay and combat systems
- Several of The Locker’s cursed islands
- Legendary weapons, many enemies, and a variety of skills
- Cinematic executions and dynamic traversal

For the full version, rather than endless exploration, we are focusing our resources on:
- The definitive, narrative conclusion to Davy and Jones’ revenge.
- Refined combat scenarios and intense, climactic boss encounters.
- Polishing the core mechanics based on your feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core gameplay of DAVY x JONES is polished and well-balanced experience, offering hours of swashbuckling fun from day one.
The Early Access version includes the core gameplay loop, access to several explorable islands, and all the tools you need to shoot, slash, burn, hook, and coin-flip your way to glory.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We do not plan to change the price while the game is in its current Early Access phase. The price may increase upon the final 1.0 release when the story is complete, but we will communicate any potential changes well in advance.”
