What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Overwitched started as a 48-hour game jam project in Brasília, Brazil, and its core loop is already fun and fully playable. Cooking games live or die by their balance: how fast ingredients grow and spoil, how long monsters are willing to wait, and how chaotic a round should get. We want to tune all of that with real players instead of guessing behind closed doors. Early Access lets our small team ship early, listen to the community and grow the game together.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Overwitched to stay in Early Access for around 8 to 12 months, depending on player feedback and how much content we add along the way.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to add more recipes, ingredients and monster customers, along with more rounds and a smoother difficulty curve. We also plan to rebalance ingredient timers, patience meters and scoring for both single-player and local co-op, and to polish the art, animation, sound and interface. If the community response supports it, we would also like to explore online multiplayer after the full release.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version includes the complete core loop: grow ingredients in the graveyard, the cages and the garden, harvest them before they spoil, brew them in the cauldron and deliver potions, food and spells to vampires, werewolves and ghosts before their patience runs out. You can play timed rounds solo or in local co-op. The game is fully playable, but balance, difficulty and overall polish are still in progress, so expect some rough edges.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to raise the price slightly when the game leaves Early Access, as new content and polish are added. Players who join during Early Access will get the game at a lower price and receive all updates at no extra cost.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will be active in the Steam Community discussions and use player feedback to decide what to fix, balance and add next. We will share regular updates and patch notes through Steam announcements, and we also plan to bring the game to in-person events in Brazil for hands-on playtests. Bug reports, recipe ideas and stories of co-op chaos are all welcome.”

About This Game

A line of impatient monsters stretches out the door, the cauldron is bubbling, and the mandrakes are about to spoil. Welcome to Overwitched, a cute-spooky cooking game where you play a witch running the busiest potion shop this side of the graveyard.

Grow. Dig graves for bones, eyeballs and severed fingers. Raise bats, spiders and frogs in the cages. Plant pumpkins, mushrooms and mandrakes in the garden.

Harvest. Grab each ingredient the moment it's ready. Wait too long and it spoils.

Brew. Toss the right ingredients into the cauldron. It cooks on its own while you run for the next order.

Deliver. Serve it in the right container to the right monster before their patience runs out.

Vampires, werewolves and ghosts line up at the counter asking for potions, food and spells. Every order shows what goes in the pot, and every customer has a patience meter ticking down. Keep them happy and the points roll in. Keep them waiting and... well, they're monsters.

Juggle four rooms at once: the shop with the cauldron and the counter, the graveyard, the cages and the garden. Every ingredient grows, ripens and spoils on its own timer, and every round is a race against the clock. The controls are simple, just move and one interaction key. Easy to learn, chaotic to master.

Play with a friend in local co-op: split the rooms and argue about who let the mandrakes rot.
