🎮 What is YOIN?

YOIN: The Shadow of Dawn is a 2D top-down action and exploration game set in a dreamlike feudal Japan. Cross a world of five sectors: the Village, the Forest, the Desert, the Beach and the Town. The soldiers can't see you, but they sense you, and they answer with blessings: waves of deadly attack patterns that fill the screen. Seize the objects around you, hurl them with twin-stick aim, dodge, and keep moving.

• 🗺️ Five sectors to cross: the Village, the Forest, the Desert, the Beach and the Town, each with its own mission, enemies and style of blessings.
  
• 👻 Unseen, but sensed: soldiers can't see you, but they feel your presence. The more you frighten them, the more they strike back.
  
• 🌀 Survive the blessings: bullet-hell attack patterns that crowd the screen. Read them, dodge them, and get through.
  
• 🎯 Twin-stick object throwing: possess objects around you, aim with the right stick or the mouse, and hurl them at your enemies.
  
• 🌿 The land drains you, nature restores you: the ground itself wears down your life. Interact with objects to recharge your life, energy or speed.
  
• 🧩 Abilities that stay: complete each sector's mission to unlock Dodge, Shield, Alchemy and Special Attack for good, and level them up with points from the menu. Some stats grow permanently; others reset every run.
  
• 🪦 Your graves remain: every time you die, a ghost grave stays on the map, holding life you can reclaim. The more you die, the more life the world holds.
  
• 🌒 Japanese ink-inspired art style: each area has its own look, inspired by Japanese mythology.
